where is air filter on 2006 trailblazer Is is on the left side directly behind the headlights inside the black box. when you open the hood it's on your left side opposite the battery's side.

headlights on my 2006 chevy trailblazer went out Reverse relay #'s 45 and 46 in the fuse box. Do your lights come back on? If so, get a new relay.
