Kenmore 665 Ultra Wash FH141493

Easy one--no manual; how do I delay start? (I press delay start, "1H" etc pops up, then I press favorites and it starts without delay; if I press favorites it starts before I can press delay; if I press delay, it delays for the correct time but doesn't start; press and hold delay start, nope; both at the same time, nope; etc.)

Thanks Harvey--but if I just set the delay, it delays and then doesnt start. might be an actual problem rather than a lack of understanding on my part?

Hi daryano

I'm Harvey the Master Plumber

You want to know how to get the delay to work?

Most models work this way: Washing dishes the first time sets the favorites and the next time you start it the favs come on automatically provided you haven't changed the settings. So after the first use just hit delay and nothing else and when the dalay time is up it should work fine.

    Hi again daryano

Yes! Now we're talking about using the warranty (first thing) or calling a repairman. If the unit has a few years on it, it may be cost effective to buy new.

Kenmore Ultra wash mod.# 665-77963K703. normal wash light flashing. How do I reset.

How many times does it blink before pausing and repeating? 7 times? (That's a common problem - means "water not heating" error.) In some dishwashers, instead of pressing Heated Dry, Normal Wash, Heated Dry, Normal wash, you press the 3 left-most keys in the following order: 1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3. That will start the diagnostic cycle and clear the error, but if you don't find and fix the cause, the problem will come back the next time you run the DW. But before I try to explain how to fix the root cause, I would need to know how many times the light is blinking.

How do I cancel the 4 hour delay wash on the control pannel. it is a Kenmore Elite dishwasher model 665.1392

Press cancel. If the 4 hour delay is still lit, you have a shorted control panel.

Dishwasher ran all night still not finished. Error code 4H displaying.

Hi and welcome to FixYa. I am Kelly. The 4H is indicating your dishwasher is in the delayed wash start mode. Here is some information from Sears about what to do:

  • The number letter combination indicates that the dishwasher is in a "Delay Start" mode, as well as how many hours were set for the delay start.
  • The dishwasher will not start the wash until it reaches the delayed hour that it was set for. Example: 1H = 1 hour delay start, 2H = 2 hour delay start, etc.
    • To start the dishwasher immediately and not wait for the Delay Start time, cancel the "Delay Start" option, by pressing the Cancel button. Then program the cycle and options and press Start.
    • To start the dishwasher after the Delay time, select the cycle and options desired. Select the "Delay Start" option and on some dishwashers it requires, pressing the Start button.
    • Some dishwashers will display a countdown of the delay time on the display.
Note: Refer to the Owner's Manual or Use & Care Guide for specific instructions on using the "Delay Start" feature.

If you need more assistance we will need your exact model number in any of your future responses.
Thanks for choosing FixYa,
Kelly
