SOURCE: D4 Rainbow leaking water around the water basin

Clean the water separator. Use a tooth brush if you do not have the Rainbow separator cleaning brush. It is the same thing, and works perfectly. :-)

Rainbow e2 vaccum has water in basin but separator not filtering water

The separator doesn't filter the water. It allows air to go through the machine but not the water. It "separates" the air and water, hence the name.

The rainbow e series is leaking water when running-I assume that I need a new seal? If so, what is a good website to order from

Clean your water separator. That is the thing that spins around in the water pan, that it attached to the motor. It is a bunch of slots around it. Like a strange fan of some sort. The nut holding it on is half ench. Use a tooth brush, if you do not have the separator brush wrench. It is stored rite there on the bottom of your vacuum, by the warter separator, in a little slot for it.

I don't know how to take apart me Rainbow e2 series vac.

I recently took mine apart because the motor stopped working. Realized the brushes were pretty well worn down and one side was completely gone. I was looking on the internet for detailed instructions on how to take it apart. I ended up just ripping it apart with no problems but made a tutorial to help you guys out. Here's a link to it

http://www.vacuumcleanerforum.com/f20/21715-how-take-your-rainbow-vaccum-apart.html

This is for the e-series vaccum, not the e2 but they pretty much have the same design and same motor (e2 has a 2 stage motor).

Rainbow E Series

You are supposed to use the hard surface cleaner solution and mix with water. Vaccum the hard surface first, then dip the hard surface attachement in the mixture (while machine is off. otherwise you will just **** up all the mixture! :) ) turn on the machine and "mop" away!! I love it!!

Rainbow e series vaccum/scubber

If you are talking about the hard wood floor brush you hook it at the end of the one slightly bent wand. Look at the end of the brush that you would hook to the wand. In the circle opening there are two slits. On the end of the wand there are two bumps. You need to line them up, push the brush on then twist it around so it stays on. then you attach the straight wand to that and the other slightly bent wand at the other end of the straight one. It will go like this Wet hose, slightly bent wand, straight wand, slightly bent wand, and floor brush. I hope I helped. Leave the basin empty. put your water or cleaner on the floor scrub it around then turn machine on and suck it up.

Rainbow vaccum

Make sure the bowl has the pin on it. The Vacuum has switch in the bottom that keeps the Vacuum from running if the bowl in not on or the little pin is broken off.
