I have a Samsung PN50B550-T2F (almost 2 years old) and for more than 2 months a thin (possibly one pixel thick) vertical line runs down the center of the screen whenever the television is on. This line has a redish tinge to it and is more visible on bright / white backgrounds and is almost invisible with darker backgrounds. If the screen has a dark bottom and a bright top, the vertical line will only be visible at the top half of the picture. I have run the picture test and that didn't fix it. Also the line is present on all inputs and with all sources (analog and digital) that I have tried. Additionally, after having the problem exist everyday for 2 months, it mysteriously went away last week. This autofix only lasted 2 days/uses, because the problem has since returned for an unknown reason. No physical damage has ever occurred to the tv. No water. No kids. No pets. Any ideas on what could cause this problem and what parts may be needed to fix the tv or how much a repair may cost? I'm hoping it is not the display panel as I have read that part is pricey. Thanks in advance for your response.

2 thin vertical blue lines, near center and right side. Do i need to replace LRC buffer boards. Z50p3 50 in plasma.

By thin line I assume its one pixel in width. A single pixel wide line is an indicator of a defective panel.

My monitor has a yellow line running down the middle

This is a bad LCD panel. If it is still under warranty, your best bet is to have it replaced again. The only fix is to replace the actual panel and that would cost more than a new monitor.

Sony 52" Bravia LCD with vertical black "pixelated" line.

if it ic a real thin line, there is only 1 thing that can cause that,,,bad panel, if your under warinty, thats a good thing-(verry expensive part--about the cost of tv) if your not under warinty, and it is less than 2 years old, call sony and explain what it is doing, and that you would hope that there TV's would last longer than that, sometimes they will cover the part

Vertical line on LCD TV Panel

Had this same issue on right side of 52" about 1 inch from side but had 3 vertical lines that disappeared after 40 minutes. Have Samsung LNT5265FX/XXA and about 16 months old. LCD Panel itself had to be replaced to fix it, fortunately had extended service plan

Vertical Black line 3 inch width on Plasma Samsung 42C96HD after 2 months of use

On al the plasma tvs there are control boards on the lower part of the screen that control the vertical images. If one of the chips on one of the boards fail, have a bad connection, or no ground it will result in a thick black lne down the screen. Seeing as the tv is new I would get the warrantee repair on it. There is a possibility that there is a problem with the screen itself but more than likely its the boards.

Vertical, pencil-thin blue line appears after 10 minutes of viewing (any source)

I would suspect a connection breaking down as the set heats up. A shop will probably have to put the set in a stand to hold it while they check for loose connections or defective components inside. Not a DIY job by any means. If this line went completely through the picture either vertically or horizontally and stayed there then this would have indicated a failure in the Panel itself. A thin Line any where on the screen consisting of one pixel in width is a Panel Failure according to Hitachi.
