Does not collect much water. I have dumped the bucket every day and now once a week. I live in Florida

I removed the front and back panels, and could not find any thing wrong. The coils are pretty clean. The water is still falling on the floor mostly, and some in the tank. Appreciate any solution. Thanks!

Water not collecting in the bucket or anywhere. Coils and filter are clean. Basement floor is still damp after running many hours. Also doesn't run on low, will only run on high. Any suggestions?

water collecting on the front of my dehumidifier and the on off switch will not function nor any other controls.

Water collects in the top of the dehumidifier, some drips into the collection bucket, but most stays in the top and slowly drips onto the floor. If I tip the dehumidifier to either side, water comes rushing out of the top and onto the floor.

I think that there is a 90 degree bend in the outlet on the bottom right front side of the collection tray that gets pluged with dirt, line etc. You can see this when you remove the collection container from the unit. I used a small piece of wire to clean out the hole and now the water goes into the tank and not onto the floor.

The bucket was emptied once a day for two years and all of a sudden once a week.

Why does Frigidaire dehumidifier send water outside bucket?

Good Afternoon Jean,

I understand that your Frigidaire dehumidifier, model# FAD704DWD, is putting the water that it collects out onto the floor as oppose to the bucket. I suggest contacting the manufacturer for more information. They should be able to point you in the right direction for assistance. Hope this is helpful.

De500 pump failure

I agree with Mike Kolbay's earlier very complete answer. The water intake to the pump is quite narrow, and clogs easily with accumulated lint and bacterial muck. While the covers are off the machine, thoroughly clean the drip tray and all the water passages. A piece of crud the size of your smallest fingernail can cause water to overflow onto the floor, rather than going into the tank.

The water is not going into the collection tank and just leaking all over the floor

When you pull the tank out and look on top-right of the underside of the machine, (image being on top of the tank while it's sitting in the dehumidifier), can you see the nozzle properly sitting there? Imagining that the collection tank is inside of the machine, the water should be dripping directly out of that nozzle, into the tank. Also make sure that nothing is attached to that nozzle, cause the water to be redirected elsewhere.

My dehumifier is leaking. The collector pan is fine. I took the covers off and could not detect anything. It is pretty simple...air blows by the coils, condenses, collects and runs into the pan. Looks...

TRY IT ON LOW FAN SPEED AND SEE IF IT LEAKS , MAKE SURE IF THERE IS A HOSE OR SMALL DRAIN PAN UNDER COIL   THAT IT IS CLEAN AND FREE OF DIRT .SOMETIMES ON HIGH WATER IS BLOWN PAST DRAIN PAN AND DRIPS ON FLOOR , THIS MAY BE A BAD DESIGN. IF THERE IS A FILTER CLEAN IT

Machine works, but no water collecting

A dehumidifier is basically a cooler. The condenser coil on the outside should feel cold to the touch usually around 34 to 38 degrees, as air passes over the coils they collect the humidity in the air and it then drips down into a collector tray. If the coil does not feel cold it is ether a bad control switch not letting the cooler (compressor) turn on, low on freon, or burned out compressor

No water collecting, unit running

the collector base under the tubes just collects water and drips it through a hole into the water bucket. there must be a loose hose(if it has one) or the base collector or bucket has a crack, as they usually are plastic. also if the unit is sitting on a very uneven floor this will happen

Water tank still gets full when connected to floor drain

Check the fitting where you connect the drain hose to. It may have a plastic seal that must be cleared out in order to use the hose drain. The plastic seal can be easily punched out.
