Error mesage Every time I start my computer, it tried to install the printer that have already being installed and used. Then it asks me for the driver cd. When I cancelled the instalation it gives me the error.1706No message. What can I do to get rid of that instalation. I have Vista.

For communication error problem - try with reinstalling the driver and the utilities that came with the printer from Add/Remove Programs. Make sure the printer doesn't show up in 'Control Panel->Printers and Faxes' anymore. If it's still there, delete it.

did you already try all the set up of your printer?. you said showed error message lost its connection to server that means you need to re install your printer to access the server. you need the CD installer of your printer then run the software so that your printer can now connect to server.

Base from the description of your problem this is some kind of issue with the software , and according to you already tried uninstalling and reinstalling.

So if you have not done reinstalling using the software from HP site better reinstall the softwrae using that and check if that corrects the issue.

hey i also had this type of problem. but i solved it and hope it will solve yours too.
first of all uninstall all ur hp drivers and softwares related to the hp printer. then restart your pc. now disconnect ur printer with ur computer and turn it off and again on after 15 secs.
now insert the cd which i have got with the hp printer in the cd-driver of ur pc and install the driver.
after the installation is complete, connect ur printer, but do not remove ur cd.
then start scanning, and if it will again ask for installing driver, u dont have to worry it will install it from the cd.
this would surely help u, if problem persists, please tell me.

which OS you are working on?

This can probably be fixed by reinstall the software again. Sounds like something went a little strange the first time it was installed. Just insert the disk again, and pretend like it's the first time installing. It should fix your problem. If not, comment back and we'll try some other things.

Try cleaning the print hade sensor useing alcohol.it is by the home position whera the print hade is installed.

updation some times failed
download fresh copy in net ,
remove olser version then install new version.

Hi,
try uninstalling any software relating to the printer.
shutdown the computer. Remove any printer to computer cables. Re-boot ( startup ) the computer.
let it set itself up. then shutdown.
turn off the power to computer, put your printer cable back in, as if you were installing it for the first time.
the computer should have found new hardware ( your printer ) And ask for a driver. ensure your HP disk is in the drive, and ask to search Drive D:- Or E:- wherever your CD is located.
If it,s already got the latest drivers installed, i would,nt worry unless your printers not functioning correctly.
