I've been on fridges where this happened. I've found the thermostat to be the issue, or the temp sensor to be the issue. It's hard to check without being there with the proper equipment. It may be worth the money to contact a service tech. lmk if you need more help!

You may have a leak from the water supply line that is attached to the fridge from the house hold line near the bottom right corner of the fridge.

Hello I had a problem close to this, at the back of the fridge on the bottom you should find the motor ,sitting on top of the motor there should be a small cream plastic catch tray if you dont have one this may be the problem as the motor evaporates the excess water, Hope this helped. djdizzys

OK, usually if you see an oily substance that you are sure is not from the fridge contents it's oil from the sealed system. When a leak in the sealed system happens the refrigerant gas leaks out and the lubricating oil also leaks out. I'm afraid you may be in this situation. As the refrigerant leaks out the cooling efficientcy drops off quickly and eventually there is no cooling at all. You would have to use a refrigerant leak detector "sniffer" to locate the leak and then have a certified company repair the unit. Sadly, the cost to do a compressor replacement and leak repair is 2/3's or more the cost of a new fridge...

yes, get a pipe cleaner and put in to the hole to try and clear if not from the back you will find the pipe which will be clipped to a plastic tray on the compressor. unclip and blow up the pipe this will always clear the blockage.
