Your lens is most likely been damaged by dropping the camera or it may have gotten sand or dirt in the gears. Software is not going to affect your focus and there is no way for you to do anything with the software other than update the firmware, which will have no effect on your focus problem.

My md10000 camera having out of focus when zooming

If there is no problem with the actual picture and only a focus problem, it can be that the focus motor needs replacing, worm gear needs cleaning and greasing or an electronic alignment needs to be done on the camera.

HiI suspect where brought repair shops were not capable of handle that problem. Usually focus problem doesn't occur unless you impact, drop, or from the beginning of your purchase which sometime canon product have problem of focus alignment. Well, If you have extra lens, then you can check it out that your body bad, or the lens bad. If you can check it out, I will help you more. (probably they don't have adjustment software for focus alignment)

Focussing

If they are located different distances from the camera, align the point of focus on the individual you want in focus. You can increase the the range of focus somewhat by changing the f-stop value to a higher number (like f 22). This could bring objects in a wide range of distances- say 20 feet to infinity - into focus. With a lower value f-stop (f 3.5 for example), the range of focus will be much smaller, say 20 feet to 30 feet. You'll have to take the camera out of AUTO and set to A or Aperture mode to do this though. Good luck!

My camera is blurry and i want to know how lto fix it

Most important is a clean lens. I use a q-tip and glasses lens cleaner. One drop on the Q-tip, start in the middle of the lens and work your way to the edges, not too much pressure. Lightly works good. You can dry with a microfiber cloth (New and clean!)
Then try the camera and adjust the zoom in and out end to end. Focus problems still?
The lens needs to be aligned with the factory alignment software and charts. It needs a shop.

Focusing screen information bar slanting

A scratch on the screen will not effect your photos in anyway, it will just be annoying to you at most. Its possible to hit the prism out of alignment but also very unlikely. If you had to **** it a little bit, its possible you may have moved the actual lcd.

Lumix Panasonic DMC FZ28 18x optical zoom, 27mm wide pix always out of focus... what could be the problem? thanks!

Does it make 2 beeps and have a green spot in the center of viewfinder/lcd? if so it is thinking it is focused, test this to see. If it is 2 beeps but definitely out of focus, it will need to go in for a back-focus alignment. Simple operation for the repair team.

I can turn my camera on then the screen picture is all blurry and it won't do anything if you press the button as if to take the picture. The one thing i have noticed different is the letters [CAF] in the...

When the camera is set to C-AF (Continuous Auto Focus) mode the focus is continually aligned according to movement of subject or the camera even when shutter button is not pressed. The Continuous Auto Focus (C-AF) is disabled while the camera is zooming in and out. Once the camera stops zooming the CAF is initiated and the cameras focus is adjusted.
This is actually used for video.
