Sounds likely it's overheating. Unplug tv, pull control panel vacuum or blow all the dirt and pet hair and stuff off the fans and control board. Make sure vents are clear, replace panel, plug tv in. Hopefully this helps!

Reset your TV to Factory reset. This will rectify your problem. To turn it to factory reset:
Press Settings, go to Setup > Factory reset, press OK, and select Yes

It is the convergence module that is bad, need to change the convergence IC's, or the buy a new convergence module at www.partsore.com

Sorry, the color wheel is only available in the Light Engine Assembly. You can not purchase it as a single part. You will have to purchase the engine and replace it to repair your TV. PN: 23405476 it runs about $450 with a $200 core. You may find it cheaper... I don't think it is readily available... Best of luck to you, I hope this was helpful.

I have exactly the same problem with mine.

HP refuses to help and no TV repair person will even bother coming out if I tell them my TV is an HP because their service for parts and tech support is brutal.

I have a brand new L2114a lamp for sale. I paid 299 plus shipping on ebay but it turned out to be the wrong one (despite what the manual says). I ordered the correct one I needed from HP. I am willing to part with it for 200. I can send pictures of the lamp and the box and the reciept. This is a BRAND NEW LAMP.
