I have an Evenflo Easy Comfort Advantage V troller and infant car seat system purchased in December 2000. I used it for years and want to pass it on to grandparents as a second stroller. It's in great shape except for a small piece of plastic on a rear wheel that broke and so I need a new wheel because it will not stay on the axle. Evenflo carries no parts to this stroller anymore. Subsequent stroller wheels will not work since Evenflo changed their design. I hate to junk a perfectly good stroller for a small piece of plastic. Any suggestions or is this stroller headed for the trash?

Why not replace both rear wheels with 2 wheels from another stroller (not necessarily the same model as yours). I bet you could find something that will fit in, regardless it is the same model or not.

Recall

Graco Snug-Seat

From the Owners' Manual:
STOP USING INFANT RESTRAINT AND BASE AND THROW IT AWAY after the date molded into the back of the infant restraint. "DO NOT use this car seat after December (Year)"
Please cut off the straps and remove the cover from the seat before throwing away (or recycling). This will keep others from trying to reuse or resell the out-of-date seat.

I don't have the model # for my evenflo comfort touch carseat. It was manufactured in 2001. I can't figure out how to reinstall the straps. Please help!

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but this seat expired in 2007. I would strongly urge you to stop using the seat and purchase a new one.

Types of car safety seats at a glance
The chart below is a quick guide on where to start your search. However, it’s important to read more about the features and how to use your car safety seat.
Age Type of Seat General Guideline Infants Infant seats and rear-facing convertible seats All infants should always ride rear-facing until they are at least 1 year of age and weigh at least 20 pounds. Toddlers/Preschoolers Convertible seats It is best to ride rear-facing as long as possible. Children 1 year of age and at least 20 pounds can ride forward-facing. School-aged children Booster seats Booster seats are for older children who have outgrown their forward-facing car safety seats. Children should stay in a booster seat until adult belts fit correctly (usually when a child reaches about 4' 9" in height and is between 8 and 12 years of age). Older children Seat belts Children who have outgrown their booster seats should ride in a lap and shoulder belt in the back seat until 13 years of age.

Evenflo discovery 5 infant car seat straps

Okay okay--do not do anything with the big pieces behind the babies back but the gold clips at the **** area..pop those out and shove that piece and the clip and the chest clip through the back of the strap hole--then reput the strap through the slot you wish then the gold pieces back through the bottom and of course pop the gold pieces back--again do not use the upper clips behind the back to do this :0)

Infant Capsule Evenflo Discovery

You should have any problem finding that part, unless Evenflo completely discontinued your car seat. Use this link: https://plweb.evenflo.com/ModelNumberHelp.aspx To find your Model Number and Manufacture date. Then use this link: https://plweb.evenflo.com/replacement_parts.aspx To find replacement parts, if they still have any. Good luck!
