1 Inspect Belt Incorrectly Routed, Adjusted(Tensioned), Missing or Worn Drive Belt(s).
2 Inspect Alternator Bracket Loose, Bent or Broken Bracket/hardware Allowing Belt To Slip.
3 Inspect Alternator Bearing Bearings Overheated and Seized.
4 Inspect Idler/Tensioner Pulley Worn or Damaged Idler/Tensioner Pulley.
5 Inspect Belt Tensioner Loose or Damaged Belt Tensioner Will Allow Belts To Slip.
6 Inspect Belt Tension Incorrect Belt Tension Will Allow Belts To Slip.
7 Inspect A/C Clutch Pulley/Rim Misaligned A/C Clutch Pulley/Rim, Seized Bearing, Loose Belt.
Belts squeak for the same reason tires do when they spin. They are slipping. Something isn't turning as fast as the belt wants it to. On ford it's usually ether the idler sprocket or the tensioner. If you remove the belt and try spinning all of the pulleys by hand.( note the crank wont spin freely) you will usually be able to tell witch ones slipping.
