Try the following driver download from the manufacturer: http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/support/consumer/printers_multifunction/multipass_series/multipass_f80?selectedName=DriversAndSoftware#DriversAndSoftware
Click "select OS" and choose windows XP. That should let you download the driver installer.
Please leave feedback if this was helpful. Thanks.

Canon f80 multipass New five years ago never

Are you using Windows Vista or Windows 7? If so, the driver download page at Canon does not provide drivers beyond XP. Otherwise, go back to the XP (or earlier versions) driver downlaod site and download the MultiPASS F80 Software User's Guide. That may provide the answer to your problem. Also, if you are using unpopular, proprietary software programs the driver may not recognize the commands. Good Luck!

Our new Toshiba laptop will not recognize the Canon multipass F80?

You need to make sure that the Canon Multipass F80 Printer Driver is properly installed on your new laptop. The printer is usually in one of the CD included on the printer package when you bought it. If you happened to lost your Printer Driver Installer, you may download it on this site: http://www.soft32.com/download_176633.html
If you previously installed this on your system, you may try to remove and re-install it once again because there cases that the driver software is already corrupted.
Hope this could help. Thanks!
