I just bought a Samsun Series 4+ / 440 / 450 (on the users manual lol) but when i try to hook up my DTV or PS3 using an AV cable, nothing shows up. In the Sources, it shows "AV" but when i select it, it says no signal. The AV cable is plugged into the channel 1 slot and it is on channel 1 when i switch to AV. Please help.

Is that the av channel? if so, how do you know your getting a signal from the ps3? try hooking the ps3 up to something else to make sure you have a signal coming out of that cable (this is where you have to start) if you have another device like a DVD player, or VCR, hook that up to the AV input (or channel one as you say). if you get a picture from those devices, the problem is your ps3 not sending the signals to the tv. sorry I can't be more helpful, but that's my guess

I have a HDMI problem with my PS3. I have it

You will need to turn on the PS3 and hook it up with rca so you can access the console menus. Turn it on and get to the main dashboard. 1. Go to Settings -> Display Settings (not video) 2. Select [ Video Output Settings ] 3. Select HDMI 4. Select Resolution 5. Select Screen Size 6. Save the settings 7. Reboot the console. This should resolve the problem. We've seen PS3 consoles that would not reset by performing a hard reset. We were able to resolve this issue through the settings menu though. Let me know if it is still giving you issues.Hank GATpro Repairs

I have a HDMI problem with my PS3. I have it

Try entering Recovery Mode and choose "Restore Default Settings".

If that doesn't help, you may have an HDMI port failure - which will require returning the unit to Sony or sending it to a third-party PS3 repair shop.

Play station 3 and tv

The ilo dtv 2784 can be hooked up to the PS3 a few different ways actually!

1st - It can be hooked up through "component" cables. This is the red, green and blue connectors (video) with a red and white connector (audio). You would need to buy the component cable specifically for the PS3. This would be the "best" quality, and this link is just to show you what it looks like (they can be purchased at almost any store that carries electronics.

2nd, you could hook it up with "composite" cables, which are the standard cables that most of us have used at one point or another. It is the "yellow" connector (video) with the red and white connectors which are (audio). This cable will not give you as good as quality, but it is cheaper if money is an issue.

Powers on but nothing happens

It happened to me too. When you plug in your av cables and are ready to play, follow these steps. With your PS3 off (Red light on), Press and hold the power button on your console. (Do not use the controller to turn it on.) Keep holding the button until you hear a second beep. (it takes about 2 to 3 seconds.) You will notice your screen flickers, then your PS3 will show up on the tv. All you did was reset the PS3 display settings. You can always go back to HDMI or AV cables. Have Fun.

Unsure of how to connect PS3??

Try changing the Sound and Display settings in the Settings Menu, otherwise call one of the customer service numbers found on the back page of any of your game manuals. Good luck

No video - blue screen...

since you bought this console used, it maybe set to HDMI 1080p/ 1080i/720p output(by the original owner) and if your TV does not support this there will be no picture, the only way to lower the output resoloution is to get into the options menu but to do that you will need a freind with a tv that supports whatever resoloution its been set too.
