The scanner is probably locked. there will be a sliding lock somewhere on your scanner that you will need to unlock before you can use the scanner. If you can provide me with the model number of the scanner I can see if i can find a manual for you that will tell you where the lock is.

The tv usually turns on but all of a sudden it won't. When it does turn on it makes a loud noise like a boat. Someone told me its the fan but I'm not 100% sure though. The noise stays on until the tv

Sounds like the motherboard on the TV has failed. Would recommend replacing the TV or taking it to a TV repair shop which may cost more than just replacing it.

Babylock Esante stopped. Just makes loud noise but won't move even manually.

You probably have a jam. Start digging under the bobbin area.

If you get it all cleaned up under there... and it still won't move. Time for service by a pro. Could be something horrid like a bent shaft.

Good luck

Wash machine won't spin all the time and makes a loud banging noise.

Check to make sure that your clothes are not piled to one side causing the load to be off-balance. If that does'nt fix it then, It may be that your machine has a balance stabilizer on it that has worked its way loose or even off.

My Kenmore 80 series washer won't spin, and it just makes a loud gear grinding noise. What could this be, and how do I fix, in the simplest form please I'm chick... :)

rebecca it is probably the motor coupler. Move or slide ur machine over and if there is ruber filings under it then it is the coupler.

My scanner makes a loud noise on start up what is it ?

It is normal for your Epson scanner to produce noise on startup as it calibrates the motor that moves the scan mechanism when powered on. But if this is too loud than normal, it means that there may be already a problem with the motor and must be replaced if it wouldn't give out quality scans. Otherwise, it is working normally.

My scanner :makes a loud noise when trying to scan or copy

Unless you forgot and tried to use it locked…then unlocked it after, it seems unlikely that changing the ink could directly affect anything related to the scanner. So especially if it still scans and now just makes more noise then before, we can reasonably say it isn’t a faulty locking mechanism and that the gears are probably not stripped, which would either stop it or not. So you’re looking at either something simple like the gear assembly being dry, shifted slightly, etc. or the safety by the lock that makes noise to tell you the device is locked is stuck somehow. The one can be tested by removing the little plastic safety that makes the noise when the scanner is turned on and locked; the other you might be able to test with some WD40 and see if it runs quieter.

New Canon MP610 scanner makes loud noises

I own this model too. It is very quiet. Sounds like a problem inside unit. I had a different problem with mine so I emailed them. They were very helpful & are replacing my unit. You may want to email them. Here's the email address I used. Good luck.

If this was helpful plz take the time to rate this. Thank you kindly.

Loud grinding noice before starting to print

Mine makes a grinding noise when scanning or making copies. As long as everything is working, I just tolerate the noise in which the rest of the staff find amusing at first and then ignore it as I do.
