You probably have a bad water valve that the fill hoses attach too at the back of the washer, if the solenoid is stuck open the water won't stop unless you shut it off at the wall.

It sounds like it is not pumping out or you have a blockage on the outlet pipe .

The machine is displaying ELoOOOO and making a noise. How do I clear/fix this? Cheers, Phil

its clearly trying to empty the drum of water maybe there's a blockage problem in the outlet water hose as the machine cant advance till the water censor switch tells the programmer that the machine is ready to fill by being empty first please blow into the water outlet pipe to perhaps clear the blockage eric

Water keeps filling even when not in use

hi Jeremy.
Why does my washing machine keep filling up with water when not in use? Ensure that the waste pipe of the washing machine is higher at one point than the drum of the machine, this will prevent water running back into the machine. Normally this would fill the machine with dirty water. Or it could be a faulty water inlet valve, which will fill the machine with clean water.22 Sep 2007

Haier xqg65-11su Keeps filling with water

I don\'t know this particular model but on many machines there is a diaphragm switch operated by a tube.As the water level rises in the machine the water also rises in the tube and the resulting pressure in the trapped air pushes on the diaphragm. If yours is like this look for a clear plastic tube running from the front or rear of the outer drum to a circular switch about 10cm diameter towards the top of the machine. If the pipe is blocked with soap powder or scum or the pipe has rubbed allowing the trapped air to escape the machine will continue to fill.If this is not the case by removing the pipe at the bottom and blowing into it you should hear the diaphragm click on and off as you release the pressure. Also check if the point where the pipe comes out of the drum is clear by pushing a piece of wire through the outlet.Don\'t forget the usual safety measures and unplug the machine before you start.

When I start any program on my Miele Novotronic W820, the machine fills with water and drum starts to turn but after a short time the main wash light flashes on and off. I've tried clearing the program,...

you may find that the water pump is not operating properly as the first fill of water is normally pumpt out first before the wash fill is started unplug the machine and take the back panel off and locate the water pump and check if you can move the cooling fan at the rear of the pump freely if not the take the water outlet pipe off and remove whatever is stopping the rotation of the pump replace all parts and run the machine to see if the fault has been found and cleared eric

My clothes are sopping wet when the wash has finished and there is water at the bottom of the drum. I can sort it by taking clothes out, bailing out the water and then re-spinning the clothes twice to get...

Sounds like a blocked outlet pipe. It may be possible that a small item of clothing i.e. sock or baby item may be stuck between the drums and occasionally moves over the outlet from the drum causing the blockage, hence only happens once in a blue moon. To see if you can see if there is something between the drums use a flashlight to help you look through the holes in the inner drum to see if there's a stray sock or something that can be moving around between the drums and covering the outlet. If there is then you will have to remove the outlet pipe from the bottom of the drum to try and remove the item that is causing the blockage, check all the way around the drum as it may be stuck to the inner drum at the time. If no item is found between drums then the blockage may be in the outlet pipes (both sides of the pump) or in the pump. Check these also as it may even be a small button or coin creating a blockage if it is moving around.

We moved the washing machine , then issues popped up. connection?

Possibly the belt was a bit loose in the first place and the move helped it move a bit closer to the edge causing it to slip off when machine was run.
The second part may have come to light only when machine was moved but would have eventually reared itself. There may have been a sock or something stuck between the drums and the movement has caused it to shift to the outlet pipe of the outer drum. This has probably now caused a blockage to the outlet and now not letting all the water out of the machine on any emptying cycle which will cause it to still have some soapy water left inside and keeping clothes wet. Check for a blockage in the outlet pipes.

Drum is filling with water after each wash

There is only 2 possibilities for the drum to fill with water after it has finished.
Firstly, if the empty pipe is connected to the sink outlet pipe, the water can syphon back into the washer if the pipe is too low, thereby slowly filling the washer when not in use.
Solution is to lift the outlet pipe higher.than the bottom of the sink.
The other reason is the inlet valve is not shutting off properly.
To prove if this is the case, turn the water off at the valve, if it is hot and cold fill, then turn the hot off only, and wait and see if water comes in over a period of time, if it does not then you need to replace the hot valve.
If water stills comes in with hot turned off, then you need to replace the cold valve.
If cold fill only , turn off cold and wait to see if any water comes in, if it does not, then replace cold valve.
Plz rate my solution.
Thanks.
