Hi,

try using ActiveBoot suite v5.0.5, when turnig on your computer. This program will scan your computer and show u all the errors, missing files, wrong dll,...and repair them. It worked very well for me as I had a TROJAN virus on my Toshiba satellite 300 and couldn't even boot anymore.
After that try use the RegistryBooster tool witch solves every windows problems.

I hope this will help. Good luck :)

Toshiba no bootable device--insert boot disk and press any key

try booting from a Windows installation disc. Choose the repair installation option. If this does not work, you may have to erase (format) your whole drive and start over again by reinstalling Windows from scratch.

Before erasing the drive, you might want to pull it out, put as a second drive in another working computer or inside a USB hard drive case and download all of your information from it. Otherwise you may have a mess on your hands with lost data/documents/photos.

How do i reboot my laptop

    Restore to factory settings

Restoring your Sony VAIO computer to its original factory settings is a great way to remove old programs and files that are buried within your computer that you no longer need, or to get rid of a virus that you just can't seem to shake.

This process will allow you to start anew with your computer, and can potentially save you from simply throwing the computer away because you don't think it can handle the workload anymore and spending money on a new machine.

Unplug any cables connected to your Sony VAIO machine with the exception of the power cord and monitor.

Click "Start" in the lower left corner of your screen.

    Click "Control Panel."

    Click "Performance and Maintenance."

Scroll down to the bottom of the Performance and Maintenance screen and click "VAIO" recovery wizard. The VAIO Recovery Wizard dialogue box will appear.

    Click "Next."

Select "Proceed with System Recovery" and click "Next."

Select "C Drive Recovery" and click "Next."

Click "Next" to confirm that you want to proceed with the C Drive Recovery.

Click "Finish" to restart your Sony VAIO machine and initiate the recovery procedure.

Upon restarting your computer, the Sony VAIO Recovery Wizard will prepare your hard drive for recovery and then restart your computer again.

The necessary files will be copied to your computer and your hard drive will be recovered.

Click "Finish" when a screen appears telling you that your recovery process is complete.

    Your computer will restart.

Click "Next" when you arrive at the Windows setup screen.

Follow the on-screen instructions to setup your version of Windows.

When you have finished setting up Windows, click "Finish."

    Your computer will restart.

Upon restart, the Sony VAIO Recovery Wizard will install necessary files on your computer.

Your computer will restart automatically when these files are installed and your Sony VAIO will be restored to its original factory settings.

    Hope this helps

My Toshiba Satellite A105 S4384 is flooded with viruses and problems, i tried downloading anti malware/anti virus programs and it is so screwed up that i cant download them. So now i am trying to restore...

    Hi Welcome to FixYa!
You could restore the computer back to its default by using the recovery partition stored on your hard drive. Just follow the steps below.
Note: Before doing this step, make sure you already have a backup of your important files to an external storage. (e.g flashdrives, external hard drives)
1)Make sure the computer is turned off
2)Press and hold the number 0 key on your keyboard while powering on the computer. When the computer powers on, the Toshiba Recovery Wizard screen will open.
3)Select Recovery of the Factory Default Software, then click Next.
4)Select Recover to out-of-box-state, then click Next. - A confirmation message displays reminding you that all data will be lost during recovery process.
5)Click Next to begin the recovery process. Once complete, a message displays that the HDD has been recovered.
6)Press any key to restart the computer.
You could also refer to this link for the recovery process: http://cdgenp01.csd.toshiba.com/content/support/downloads/PMA500339010_web.pdf
Note: if the recovery process is not successful, chances are, the recovery partition in the hard drive could already been deleted or damaged.

Hope this could be a big help!
