Formatted hard drive need drivers to install windows xp pro

You will go and start up and install Windows XP by doing he following:
Plug in your external CD drive, and let windows install it into the system...
Once the CD is ready to go, shut down the computer.

You will first need to format your hard drive, I will give you instructions on how to do that.

1...To format your hard drive and install XP:
To set you computer back to factory fresh settings you will need to format the hard drive and install the XP operating system and the drivers.

1.Format the hard drive:
You do this by double left clicking on "My Computer",then double left click the main drive (normally C drive).
When the window pops open, you will choose "Format"
Keep in mind that once you format your hard drive you will loose all your files,programs,pictures,etc that you installed since the computer was new.
So make your back up on a portable hard drive,thumb drive,etc.
2. Once the formatting of the hard drive is complete you will need to install the XP operating system along with the drivers.
You will now insert the CD's into your external CD player starting with #1 first and continuing until all has been installed.
After all has been installed, shut your computer off and restart.
That will bring your computer back to Windows XP factory new condition as far as operating is concerned.

hi... I suggest you need to FORMAT your hard drive do partitioning and then you can proceed to installing your Windows XP and OS...install audio driver if needed by your sound card...wallla..its seems as new...pls. rate and vote...good day

windows those not come with the drivers for these devices, you will need to find and reinstal the drivers for them.

Just boot the XP CD, follow the prompts. You'll hit a screen that will give you the option to format / delete partitions.

Windows XP does not have built in SATA drivers. You will need to download the XP drivers from Western Digital's website and install before the computer will allow you to format and use your new drive. Hope this helps.

Install the XP Pro first, install the necessary drivers etc. Then after that load the other disk for windows XP Home install it choose the drive to install the OS, install the necessary drivers etc. you will see two operating system while going to boot section of the computer.

Installing Windows XP on a SATA hard drive is not a straight-forward task as Windows XP does not recognize the SATA drive. In order to install operating systems such as Windows XP on SATA drives, the latest SATA drivers are required.Download SATA drivers for the motherboard from the website and integrate them with the XP installation CD using software such as nLite. The problem of your laptop is the hard disk type. because acer 5220 laptop is using a SATA hardisk that automatic detected or supported by Vista. But in the windows Xp you need to download the sata driver for windows xp and save it to the floppy drive. In the beginning of windows installation press F6 to install another device or scsi the windows setup search your floppy drive for the sata driver and install it automatically.
