Sounds like you have a side-by-side...

The defrost drain is probably clogged or frozen. When the fridge runs a defrost cycle the melted water cannot reach the evaporator pan underneath the refrigerator. Some water makes its way out onto the floor to wet your socks, and some re-freezes inside the bottom of the freezer compartment creating a layer of ice.

Mr freezer is leaking water which freezes on bottom of freezer

Hello Susan Torrey Roepke,

The TWO main reasons for an OTHERWISE functioning

to be accumulating water in the BOTTOM...

Least likely... your ICE-CUBE fill is set too HIGH...
hollow ice cubes is another "adjustment" that can
produce similar issues (but you'd have "SO" spoken
(no/yes??))...

Most likely... your ICE SERVICE chute has an
ICE CUBE or CHIP of ice blocking the DOOR
open...

This allows warm room AIR to cause
the ICE immediately next to the chute to
melt... Which will only further BLOCK the
chute door from proper closure (operation).

Hope YOUR PROBLEM is just hat EASY.

We have got water coming out at the bottom of the freezer of our fridgidair FRC170FF how do i fix it?

1. Your freezer may be not cold enough so water does not freeze.
2. Your freezer may leak so warm air goes into the freezer and keep the temperature higher than freezing temperature.

Water pools at bottom of freezer, freezes and water leaks out

Hello, this sounds like you have a blockage in the drain tube, remove bottom shelf from fridge and remove the styrofoam..you may see ice build up...melt ice with hair dryer/heat gun...you will see a pan below evaporator...melt ice in pan...dry water up in pan with paper towel...now you should see a hole in pan that leads to drain tube...pour some hot water in pan..wait a couple minutes..mop up water and repeat this step 2-3 times....once you have done this find some flexible curatain wire or electrical wire..poke down the hole until you see the water drain..now it is clear..put back panel back and you are good to go. The reason you see water in the Freezer is because the water has been leaking into the freezer instead of running into the drain hole...Please feel free to comment again if you need any further assistance. Model GSL25JFPH BS freezer starts to defrost then will re-freeze. this is causing water to pool up in bottom of freezer. when defrosting, water is leaking out from under door onto floor.

If it defrost normally it will defrost about every 10 hours. If this is happening many time a day the control board is the reason for the problem. Now if it is defrosting and the water is coming from the rear of the freezer the defrost drain is blocked. the part number for the mother control board is WR55X10942 Your defrost thermostat may also be stuck and causing the temperatures to increase drastically. I would like to follow up with you on this problem if you don't mind

Water dripping from bottom of freezer casing

Your drain line is frozen. Ice thawed by the heater in the freezer normally drains down a tube into a pan on top of the compressor, where it evaporates from compressor heat. If the drain freezes the water runs into the freezer bottom instead of the tube then into your fridge. To solve this remove everything from your freezer and remove the access panel in the back or bottom depending on your model of fridge. Turn off or unplug the appliance. Upon removing the panel(s). you will likely see that the bottom of the freezer is full of ice. Use a hair dryer or heat gun to thaw ice and remove. In the very back bottom you will uncover the drainhole. I usually use very hot water and a shop vac to thaw the drain hole. When you finally clear it you will hear water running into the pan on top of the compressor. Somethimes it takes a lot of hot water to clear the drain. Hope this helps!

Kenmore / GE side by side defrost drain keeps freezing up

Check under the base, the tube must be clear to the water tray, often there is a rubber flow restrictor, this either perishes or blockes, either way remove it, defrost over night and then turn back on, should then work ok within 24hrs. Regards Adbvisor
