Where can i buy the cable to connect the satellite output ? ( subwoofer to speakers) for harman a and kardon HK 395

  • Anonymous Nov 25, 2013

you can't you have to buy a whole new speaker with the wire connected because it goes into the units at both ends. the only wire you can buy is the generic speaker jack one with male mini jacks on both ends which you can get anywhere

Not the complete cable, but you can get the connector here:

http://cgi.ebay.com/2-Male-9-Pin-Mini-DIN-Plug-Promedia-GMX-System-M9D-/290530004126

From this seller http://myworld.ebay.com/hongkongsuperseller/where can i buy the cable to connect the - _678.jpg

Posted 20110208 so may change. If link doesn't work search ebay for "9 Pin Mini Din" Check to make sure it is the same. Information on the pinout is elsewhere on this site and others. You will need to solder the connections.

I lost my remote to my harmon kardon DPR 1001 stereo is their an remote controle app i can download on my phone to controle stereo

No, phones don't have an infra-red transmitter. That would only work if the HK was connected to wifi and HK made an app and the internal circuity and logic to accept it.

Contact HK direct and buy a new remote.

Explain connections - harmon kardon 130 to 4 jbl satellite speakers one middle speaker and seperate jbl subwoofer 140/230

Hello Ranasinghe, you must connect a JBL satellite for each Main L and R output (2 speakers in total)
Connect one JBL for each Surround L and R output (2 speakers in total)
The middle speaker, to the output of the Central channel and the subwoofer, if active or powered, to the RCA subwoofer output on the amplifier
This way you would have all the speakers connected in the Harman Kardon 130

What cable connects a Dell PC to a Harmon Kardon HK395 sub woofer?

3.5 m/m. Normally it is color coded green. The pink connects the subwoofer to the speakers. Any color will work. Just mark both ends of wire jacks.

My MacBook's audio still on even when harman Kardon speakers are connected to the computer.(Original version with USC connectors).

As I seem to recall the very first version was powered by the computer and as such may not be compatible with your Mac. I may be thinking of Apple's Clear speakers though? Do your HK Soundsticks have a power adapter or AC cord?

Do i need a satellite cord for this harman kardon to work properly

You shouldnt need a satellite cord. If the HK 12 has parallel L and R inputs and outputs, you should be able to run sound into the sub, and then out to whatever speakers you have. Assuming they are not a part of a sound system, and you are running 2.1 stereo.

you need the the satellite speakers hooked up in order for the sub to work. its not a standalone sub the volume control knob on the satellite speaker is what powers on the sub. i have extra speakers i wish i could give you cuz my sub just blew out.

Want to use only subwoofer of HK695

The problem is that you need the satallite speakers , they have the volume control on them which thats why you only hear the subwoofer.. yes , i tried other speakers to it and no sound either. So you will need the satellite speakers it come with.. good luck!!

Subwoofer connection

if this is ao powered sub, that plugs into the wall, there should be no problems, if it is powered solely by the reciever it may work fine but be sure you dont exceed amperage on the subwoofer.
