I don't think Window 7 has driver on old scanner. It is too new. You should go to Umax web site and look for it.

Please check the connection from Speaker to your Sound Device if its properly and correctly connected, usually it should be inserted in the GREEN hole at the back of your CPU, if this doesn't help, then check the volume control (SPEAKER ICON) on you Windows Setting, you can see it on you task bar, beside the CLOCK on the right side, if this still doesnt help, please re-install your SOUND Device Driver, if its buil-in on your Motherboard, then you can use the CD provided in the Motherboard.
