I have intel dg41 rq

Check the fans on the motherboard, are they all working? Have you cleaned out the fans and heatsinks ? Using compressed air, or even the blower end of a vacuum cleaner blow out the dust in the fans and the cooling fins of any large heat sinks, like the one over the processor. It sounds like the machine is overheating, the dust is probably preventing air from circulating around the heat sink fins,

Computer doesn't boot. Get 51 in the start screen

Hi,

Error 51 means there are problems allocating resources to PCI bus.

To solve this you would have access the BIOS and set it to its default settings. Reboot the computer and the error should be gone.

If it's not then take out any cards that maybe in the PCI slots on the motherboard as you may have a faulty PCI card in the computer.

Regards.

Ps2 scokets not working

If it is both of the P/S2 sockets, you may need to flash the BIOS. But, you should check the interface between the sockets and the motherboard, they are only held in place by the IO plate on the back and some solder. Constant fitment and removal will weaken the contacts and maybe even break them. If this is the only problem, you can resolder them.

..................My system config is : Intel C2D E7500 with 2.93 GHz CPU MOBO is Intel DG41RQ and 2gb DDR2 RAM OS is Windows XP - 32-bit (Service pack 3) .Problem is iwant to buy a new graphics card

When the CPU overheats then it will shut down (i.e. thermal overload) and won't boot up again until it has cooled down. If this is the problem is not fixed then the CPU will eventually fail. A faulty fan causes the problem or the fan and heat sink assembly are clogged with dust. Check the CPU fan to see if it spins freely, if not replace the fan. If the fan and heat sink is clogged with dust the remove the dust and make sure the vents are clear and dust free. Use a small brush and can of compressed air to do this.

Monitor display

No SignalNo video signal(Monitors may also do this, and state Power Saver Mode, or Sleep Mode; instead of No Signal)1) Check the monitor cable. Has to be ruled out before going on.Either use it on another known to be working computer, and monitor; or use another known working monitor, and cable on your computer.Monitor cable checks out go on2) From here the logical assumption would be to check graphics. If the graphics are coming from the motherboard, Integrated Graphics; then use a graphics card.If the graphics is from a graphics card, use a known to be working one, for a test.[ The I/O area is on the back of the computer. I/O stands for Input/Output. It refers to the Input and Output devices that are connected to the computer; in the rear area.Mouse, Keyboard, Monitor, audio cables, etc.If the monitor is connected in the I/O area, the computer is using Integrated Graphics. In the past we used to refer it as OnBoard Graphics.ON the motherBOARD.If it is a graphics card being used, it will be in one of the horizontal expansion slots, on the back of the computer ]However I would like you to jump past that.Check instead;1) Is the computer dirty inside? If the Processor overheats it turns off.(BIOS turns it off) This is a fail safe feature built-in. Keeps the Processor from burning up. (Literally)Clean the inside of the computer out with a can, or two of compressed air for computers. Use Q-tips, and/or small soft brush (Makeup brush?), to dislodge the heavy 'Gunk', so the air can remove it easier. 2) Ram Memory:Remove all ram memory modules. ('Stick') Clean the gold plated contact pins with a pencil eraser. If you are using an eraser on the end of a pencil, and not a solid eraser; refrain from letting the metal band of the pencil, touch the gold plated contact pins.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Generic_DDR_Memory_%28Xytram%29.jpgHandle the ram memory module by the BODY.The Body is everywhere on the ram memory module, EXCEPT the gold plated contact pins. The Body is coated with a see-through protective plastic.Rub up, and down, and across; on EACH contact pin, BOTH sides.Use air to remove the eraser dust. You can use a can of compressed air for computers, if available; or air pressure from your mouth will be sufficient.Reinstall.3) Power Supply:There are two main issues for desktop computer failure;A) The computer is dirty insideB) Power Supply failureRam Memory contact pins cleaning is an add-on; but necessary. With a Power Supply having a weak voltage power rail, you could see LED's light, and fans spin; but NOT have enough power to turn the Processor on.1) If ALL of the LED's (Light Emitting Diode) were on at once, they would use less than 1 Watt of power.2) EACH fan uses 2 to 3 Watts of power.3) A typical Processor can use from 51 to 125 Watts of power. Just depends on what Processor it is.That is why you can see LED's light, and fans spin, but no signal.Use a KNOWN to be good, Compatible power supply; for a test unit.Or;Use a multimeter to test the 3 main voltages;3.3 Volts, 5 Volts, and 12 Volts. All are DC Voltage. (DCV)[In comparison two D cell flashlight batteries produce 3 Volts DC ]For additional questions please post in a Comment.Regards, joecoolvette

Display port of motherboard is not working properly?

Test all power and data leads that attach to your hard drive IDE,SATA

the leads from your (motherboard to your hard drive) make sure they have secure dust free connections and are not faulty or just replace them they might be faulty

if its a 40 pin flat ribbon type it will be the first to fail

make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty

even something as small as a faulty electrical fan and its lead can cause you problems

computers need all power and data to continue through every working device and to have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error

make sure your graphics card is securely seated with no dust built up or in the socket

if you remove your graphics check the socket to make sure its dust free

restart your computer then reinstall it this should activate found new hardware wizard

hope this helps

I have dg41rq intel mother board. RAM is 2gb 800 Mhz of dgnet. When booted shows memory decreased 476 mb see event log

Ram is Random access Memory Ram is temporary memory your computer uses to store things you are working on for quick access later on Ram is faster than your hard drive so things you are working on are temporarly stored there so you dont have to waite while it loads The more ram you have the more programs you can have running at the same time you could either uninstall some of the programs running at the same time or stop them running until you need them if you right click in the bottom toolbar select taskmanager you will see whats running in application and processes you will see what is ticking overthat way you will no what is running and needs to be stopped or uninstalled if you see something running that should not be select end now

For the virtual memory follow these instructions:Right click on My Computerselect properties. On this screen select AdvancedClick the Settings button in the Performance sectionClick the Advanced tab on the Performance Options screenClick the change button

On the Virtual Memory screen, check if it is set to System Managed size

If so select custom and increase the size from what it is currently

For example if it is set to 512MB set it to 1024MBIf it is set to custom try setting it to System managed size You will need to reboot after making the change

hope it helps
