Why does my macerater give off a smell some times when flushed and what cleaning agents can be used

I think you have a blocked oil line in the engine. at the garage did they do an oil pressure test if so it would be high or low depending on the problem. when doing the oil change the oil needs to be warm not hot just warm. you may need to do another oil change but put a thinning agent in with a cleaning agent to try and clean it out, sometimes it will need the cam cover taking off and blowing air down the oil returns to get the carbon deposits out. some people use diesel to flush the engine out but don't let the engine run on this just the starter motor. so remove the ignition relay so the engine will not start. do this a few times and then leave it to soak and then flush it out and change the filter, can add the diesel to the engine with the oil that is in, add a fare bit as it wont do any harm as long as the engine does not run. drain and flush out with a bit more diesel. and leave to empty fully. then put new oil and filter on see if this helps the problem.

needs the system cleaning, there are plenty of cleaners on the market or you can use a vinegar mix. this will clean out the system 3 parts vinegar to one part water and flush this though the system as you would normally use it, white vinegar would be best, leave for half an hour in the system and then flush out with water a few times till clear and no vinegar smell.

flushing blocked radiator cores is not successful regardless of what cleaning agent is used --simple reason , if the water cannot flow through the cores ,it cannot flush out the blockage
Best answer for a fix is to replace with a new radiator and use the correct anti freeze-anti boil additive in the correct ratio at all times

This is usually because there is water in pump which does not get drained over time. Leave the porthole door open from time to time to let the odour out. Make sure the laundry drain backflow has not dried up causing sewer smell to come through.

Run a load of just water and chlorine bleach. Run it HOT. After that, use bleach to clean the door seal and seat.

You can clean your dishwasher with either a product called "Dishwasher Magic" or white vinegar. Both are basically food safe acids in low concentrations, and will dissolve the hard water scale that builds up in dishwashers. You also should make sure you use rinse agent "Jet Dry" all the time unless you have a water softener.
