I have a Shark Cordless Sweeper that needs a new battery too. (Model V1725QC 4.8V) I Googled around and finally gave up and phoned the number on the bottom of the Cordless Sweeper. No problem. The lady did ask me for the "DATE CODE" that is stamped in the silver part on the bottom of the sweeper. The number was 4608 (not easy to read). The battery cost is $16.95 and with Shippling the total came to $22.90. I should receive it in about 7-10 business days. It will be coming from Quebec to BC so that is the total Canadian Price. All model info is on the bottom. The Phone number is on the bottom of your Cordless Sweeper in white lettering on the black plastic towards the rear. The Phone Number is 1-800-798-7398. I hope this will help some other people. Just phone them - best to stick with the Shark Company batteries and they are not easy to find otherwise. No fuss, no muss when I called. I just recently picked one up on ebay along with 8 more pads for a little of 20 dollars. You can also go to their website (sharkcompany.com) and order it there. I think it's 13 dollars. You can also order the pads there as well, I believe it's 20 for 3.
