I can get the printer driver to reinstall after my computer had been wiped clean and windows reinstalled, is there anything I can do?

The hardware specs for this machine will not handle anything later than Windows XP. I would recommend doing a clean installation of XP or even might try a free operating system like Ubuntu (http://www.ubuntu.com/). Just have to download the iso and get it burned to a disc. All in all, I would recommend a machine with better specs to provide an all around better working computer. Hope this helps.

Seems as though the menu needs to be reset. Unplug printer and then replug after 20+ seconds. If problem persists, reinstall the print driver from the Device Manager. In Windows 7 you would go to Start, Devices and Printers, right click mouse to reveal drop down menu, select remove device. Now, unplug your printer's USB cable and turn off your computer. Wait the 20+ seconds. Turn on computer. After fully loaded, turn on printer and plug in its USB cable. Computer should conduct "plug & play" search for printer driver and reinstall the printer. Remove your printer from the PC and uninstall the printer software. Now reinstall the printer driver software- if you dont have the driver download from the HP site- and then connect the Printer to be detected as a new hardware and installed. Check printer properties to see the ink levels.

If you have your windows cd and do not have anything on the computer that you need. I would suggest reinstalling your windows run it as a boot cd and follow instructions from there should wipe the passwords so you can put new passwords on when windows is reinstalled it will be a clean slate from there.

if the people who did your computer didnt do a complete wipe and re-install then the printer driver is still there. try to hook up the printer and PC should pick up new hardware and reinstall the driver.
