This is a syntax error.
The XR; xxx is to clear a portion of the print image
There is an error in geration this instruction
Reason may be the square drawn is off the label size.
Check the values
{XR;XXXX,YYYY,ZZZZ,AAAA'}
where
XXXX = X start coordinates in 10th of millimeter
YYYY = Y start coordinate
ZZZZ = End X coordinates
AAAA = End Y coordinates

You probaly have a graphics issue.
Do not use topix compression, it may be unavailable on your printer. Use 8 bits or nibble

We've a problem with our TEC printer B-SX55. Sending a job via parallel interface only results in an error message showing up: XS;I,0001,0012C5 Can anyone tell me what to do to get it up and running...

This type of error message usually means a command error has been found in a command received by the printer. 16 bytes of the command error, hence the XS;I,0001,0012C5 message. It starts from the command code, XS.

I am not sure of all the command codes but I would suggest starting by re-installing the printer driver.

TEC B472 won't print full qty of labels

What is the software used?
Normally the printer will decrement or increment its counters when the correct instructions are sent, If it is the pc that sends the labels then your problem is due to the pc.
Otherwise if the count is internal then external electromagnetic noises may cause this sort of phenomenon.
If it's on a parallel port, then your problem may comme from the vibrations of the printer. The init signal on this port is very near to a gnd pin and with the vibrations this causes a reset of the printer.
Last problem may come from a firmware deterioration. All depends cpu either the firmware is Eprom or Rom.
