This sounds like you have a bad hard drive, if you have reinstalled the OS twice and you are still getting a disk error, it is probably due to a physical problem with the drive. You would need to take your computer in to an Apple store or other computer repair place and have the hard drive replaced.

Disc keeps sticking as if it was dirty, which it isn't. Can this be the fault of the player?

A bit more information please. By "sticking" do you mean it isn't turning properly inside the machine or do you mean it isn't playing on the screen properly? Is this happening on one specific disc or all the ones you have tried? If more than one disc does this it is the player. If only one disc does it then it's that disc. Even the smallest scratch in the wrong place on a disc can cause 'Skipping'. On rare occasions discs can warp out of shape if it has been near heat for a good length of time. Did you just clean the disc (both sides), just the player or both?
When using a Player Lens Cleaner I usually do it twice just to make sure it's clean.

Maybe needs some cleaning and lubrication? Seems like sensing some resistance and keep staying on disc 1. Open housing and check what is happening when trying switch discs. Is that happening even when discs are not installed?

Hi, My ps3 will read every single game except Fifa 11. when i load the game it stays on a black screen between 10-15 secs and then a message pops up saying, " an error occured during the start...

It's most likely the disc. I would say it's time to replace with disc with another one.
If you'd like to attempt to clean the disc before replacing it, clean it with an anti-static cloth and see if that helps.

My HP notebook 510 PC doesn't start; no POS; black screen with a blinking cursor at top left. Before, I had a fatal error & I don't remember the error message

Try and boot from a bootable disc (windows) and if it boots then you need to look at a reinstall of windows. If nothing happens then you have a bigger problem. make sure when put the disc in you have you bios set to boot from cd first then hard drive so it will read your cd first. Good luck

Get "Error 1305" when I try to reinstall my

Error 1305 means that the computer is not reading the disk. Most likely you have a dirty, or scratched disk. It could be that another program or process is keeping the disc
1. First make sure that the old program is completely uninstalled.
2. Restart your computer. Keep all other programs closed.
3. Clean the disc with a lint free cloth.
4. If this doesn't work, wash the disk with warm water, and allow to dry thoroughly, another suggestion would be to purchase a CD cleaning kit.
5. See if the disc works in another computer or drive. The problem could be your CD-ROM drive. Older drives cannot read dirty or scratched discs as well.
If the above steps do not work, it is likely you will have to replace the disc.
