There is no point in reformatting a faulty hdd. Place a new one in the machine and format that.

You can try version 15 in compatibility mode:

Troubleshoot Compatibility
This can help with some (but not all) programs/drivers:
1) Uninstall the program if it's already installed. Then when you install/reinstall it instead of double clicking on the install file right click it and select "Troubleshoot Compatibility"
2) Then click "Try Recommended Settings" and in the next window click "Start the Program" to install it.
3) After it installs see if it works correctly. Please note - some programs may not be able to run in Windows 7.

You're right. PrintMaster Platinum 16 isn't compatabile with Win7. You can either upgrade to

which is Win7 compatible or use the program on a computer with XP. You can do this with either a virtual computer or a dual-boot system. If you have Win7 Pro or Ultimate, you can download two programs from Microsoft to create the XP Mode. This gives a virtual computer with XP without needing to buy XP. If you use a virtual computer, just install the software in that computer.

My computer says I have compatability issues with the program.

go to start button in tool bar click on it and the programs section will drop down
if the heading is still there right click on it and down the bottom of the drop down box there will be a properties heading
right click on that and find compatibility tag and open it up
section will appear that states compatible for
click tick in the box and the list of programs will show click on your system for the computer ( XP-vista -windows 7 etc )
go apply and ok
if you have nothing to work with at all the make sure when downloading the program that you are downloading a program that is for your operating system
By that I mean the program may be windows essentials and if you look closely there will be a list of compatible op systems such as xp-vista/windows 7,7,10 or others
you will require the download for your operating system in the computer

How can I use this program on my new HP Windows 8 computer?

If you have the program installed,1. right click on the programs icon on the desktop. A dialog box will open/click the compatibility tab/then run the compatibility troubleshooter. This may solve the problem. 2.
