I have replaced several of the indicator lights in the control knobs.

Turns out that Dacor doesn't sell exact replacement lights (actually LED modules).

What I did was to go to a local electronics supply store and purchase Blue replacement LEDs and a current limiting resistor to connect in series. Replacement LEDs can vary in brightness depending on your taste ... I chose a super bright LED which makes the control knobs noticeably brighter. The value of resistor will vary depending on the LED you choose (brighter LEDs need slightly more current and as such the resistor value will be slightly less).

Once you've opened the range from the top (remove knobs, grates and burners) then remove a few screws and the entire unit opens with a hinge in the back.
Look over the LED light modules which shine just below each knob and fashion a replacement LED assembly.

Total material cost per LED unit was ~ $2-3 (LED, resistor, wire and heat-shrink tubing)

Could you post the actual description and part numbers of the parts you purchased? I have the same problem. Thanks.

will purchasing replacement knobs take care of it? there isn't anything in the stove that controls the blue light on the know-fight?

The red padlock icon that usually unlocks with the 5 second touch of a finger won't unlock the cooktop.

Have you tried disconnecting the whole cooktop from the main supply for about 5 minutes? Sometimes when reconnected the fault goes away.

First of all, thank you very much David for choosing FIXYA today for your online technical support needs.

Here is a direct link to the ONLINE USER'S MANUAL for that model:

This will open a new web browser page automatically for you and allow you to view the information at the website indicated and the contents of the Owner's Manual.

You may need ADOBE READER installed on your computer to read PDF documents, although many computers already have this type of utility pre-installed.

You can download this free at WWW.ADOBE.COM if necessary. Click on the DOWNLOAD ADOBE READER button on right side of the ADOBE home page when you get there, then follow the onscreen instructions to install the software on your computer.

I truly hope that was helpful to you.

Good luck and take care.

Hi - I have a 4 burner GE gas cooktop. The clicking sound comes from all the burners but 2 of them are difficult to light. If I hold my hand over the top ... they will light! Is there an adjustment that...

Usually this happens if something has been spilled or a pan overflowed and is partially clogging some of the burner holes. Make sure the burner holes are clear and try poking them with a sewing needle to make sure. I am assuming the flames are a nice blue color and not a lazy yellow or yellow-tipped. If there is some orange, that is usually an indication you are burning off some food and will need to be cleaned. If that doesn't appear to be the issue, then let us know and we'll dig deeper. When you turn the burner on, the lighting around the knob does not light up. How do I fix this? Jenn-air cooktop cce3531

There are only two possible solution to this problem one of which is that your indicator light is faulty and will need to be replaced. part number for the indicator light is 706125. the other possible solution will be that the wire has simply burned and the part number for this wire is 706091. I`m not sure why there is a ``special`` wire part number. A generic high temperature wire will be sufficient.hope this helps.

Thanks

One of 4 burners doesn't spark/light -- GE JGP979 Cook Top

I am going to assume you hear the "clicking" sound when you try to light the burner.
open the top of the stove. there are four burner. look at the one that is not lighting. use a straighten paper clip open the holes that is directly in-front of the tube that is facing the center of ignitor.
also make sure that the air vent directly behind the knob is fully open.

Replacement dual burner Gaggenau CK594

You have 2 line, 2 load, and if there is an indicator light, 1 for that and 1 ground. The other guy may be right about the 2 grounds, if not, the indicator light may have a connection for hooking it to another light in series. The tech cannot understand the schematic? get someone who can.
