How do I know when the oven is preheated? - Ovens

"PF" stands for Power Failure. There should be a reset procedure in your user's manual. I cannot specify this since you don't give the manufacturer or model number of your oven.

I know from your post that your Frigidaire oven is working but the preheat takes 30 minutes. This does sound like lengthy amount of time for preheat to be completed. From what you are describing it could be an issue with the panel, element, or thermostat. Since it could be anyone of these underlying issues I would recommend having a professional come out to diagnose your refrigerator to determine the root cause to reduce the risk of unnecessary parts. -Matt

That is the sabbath feature, to get it or defeat it:

1. Push the PREHEAT pad and set the oven
temperature to 500°F/260°C or more using the UP
ARROW pad.
2. Push the PREHEAT pad within the next 2 seconds
for 3-4 seconds. A beep sounds and a number
appears in red to the right of the display. For the
conversion, "3" must be displayed. If another number
is displayed, push the PREHEAT pad and select
"3".
3. Push the UP or DOWN ARROW pad to change
from 12 hour to 9999 in the display, for no 12 hour
shut-off.
4. Push the CANCEL pad to confirm your choice.

replace the fsd in the oven.

its your temp sensor. replace it and it should fix ur prob
F2=overheat
is your bottom element connected?

possible thermostat is sticking

most ovens take 15-25 min to preheat.

it is designed to preheat this way. after the unit cycles the red indicator light off the first time than both elements turn off. when it calls for heat again only the bake elements comes on. makes the preheating work faster.
