Hi,
Till Sunday my Autobaby mp3 player was working fine. And then yesterday I plugged in my mp3 to the usb port of my computer and then went to my computer as usual to open the folder and add some music. But unfortunately when I tried to open the mp3 on my computer, it just wouldn't open and this is the message which appears.
The File of Directory is corrupted and unreadable.
What should I do? The mp3 player working fine, I can listen to music. But now I can't add or delete any music coz I can't access the folder. Why is this message coming therE?

Are you plugging it infront or at the back USB port of the computer? Try turning it off first and then plug at the back usb port. Once plugged in, that would be the time you turn the MP3 player on. If the computer still does not detect the mp3 player as new usb device, then i guess the mp3 player must have been fried due to not being "safely removed" from the usb port. Make sure you are safely removing ALL usb devices when disconnecting them from the computer.
most computers have lots of USB inputs. my frnt USB cords don't work on my MP3 but I plugged it into my back USB port and it work fine...Just try to use other USB ports
Here are some suggestions:
Try using a new/different USB cable. The ones that come with these players are known to be defective at times.
Try using a different USB port on your computer.
Try it on a different computer.
sounds like bad news - if the flash (update to firmware) failed during update, the item is more than likely dead. Warranty return possible?
Can you try another usb device on that same pc?
just to verify the usb ports are working properly and supplying proper power to the devices.
Hi blackmajik,
I just got a Sandisk m250. Windows wouldn't recognize it either until I updated my Windows Media Player to version 11. Now XP sees it just fine and the MP3 player syncs with WMP and accepts and plays music!
