I bought a white Bunn GR-X home 10 cup coffee maker at a yard sale. My husband is in Afghanistan and has been wanting one for a long time. I got home and poured maybe 10 cups of water into it, turned it on and waited. The plate got hot and it sounded like something was happening inside, but no water came out. I took the top off and am cleaning it. I see the wiring has a bit of corrosion. Maybe it won't work at all, but I figure it's worth a try and I only paid $3 for it. I would greatly appreciate any help you can give me. My husband could really use this!!! Thanks- Amanda Clothier

It takes 2 full decanters to fill the tank. You fill the tank with 1 full decanter of water and pour it into the top and close the lid-wait 3 minutes. Then fill the decanter again and pour it into the machine and close the lid. Plug it in and wait 15 minutes for the water to heat it up. Then you will be ready to brew coffee. You will pour in 4-10 cups of water at the top and have your filter basket ready with filter and grounds. In 3 minutes, you will have your coffee. you should be able to go online and locate a bunn service centre in your area, contact them and purchase a 5 hole sprayhead. It will be metal instead of plastic but will work fine.

My Bunn coffeemaker is leaking water after it stops brewing and the coffee doesn't seem to get as hot as it once did. It also only gives back 4 cups for a 6 cup brew.
if you unscrew the top there's a rubber seal in there that you might have to replace that causes the leaks. also clean your coffee maker regularly with vinegar.
my husband had to replace the seal in ours 4 times but after owning the same Bunn for 20 yrs it was time for a new one

To clean your brewer, with the machine still turned on, pour in 1 qt of white vinegar and let it sit in your brewer for 2 hours. At the end of 2 hours, you will flush it out with 8-10 decanters of water.

My coffee pot is very slow and only 3/4 of pot fills
With the machine full of water and still turned on, pour in 1 qt of white vinegar into the top and place decanter on base and close the lid. You will let this sit in the machine for 2 hours. At the end of 2 hours, flush out the vinegar with 8-10 decanters of water.

It sounds like a seal/gasket is defective causing it to leak. Please locate the model and date code on the bottom of the brewer and contact customer service for troubleshooting and replacement options.

You can call Bunn Home division in Springfield, IL at (800) 352-2866. They have a kits which you can try at no charge. If that does not work, they will replace your coffee maker at discounted price provide you send the old one in. On the bottom of your coffee maker there is a modle number which they need on a white tag. .Hope this helps
