SOURCE: l can't to fix my sansa e200 myself

Hi,

The word "ACTUALIZANDO DATOS  " is a spanish word that means "Updating Data". So the problem may be in the firmware or the disk itself.

So please connect your Sansa to your PC and check if the PC can recognize it. Try to upgrade the firmware.

Good Luck

SOURCE: need instructions for sansa e200

Uhm instructions such as like adding music and deleteing
1.To add music you have to have a Media Player and the Usb cord to connect to it. You must drag songs from the Media Player to the right side of the Media Player and then click Ready to Sync
2.To delete music go to My Computer then find the mp3 then it's common sense from there.

I erased some things i didn't think i would need from the mp3 player (photo folder, etc.) and now when it turns on it just says "Load main image failed, switch to recovery mode"

STEP 1: Soft Reset

Simply press and hold the power button for 20 seconds. The soft reset would refresh the player. After doing the soft reset, try to turn on the player once more. If this didn't resolve your issue continue to step 2.

STEP 2: Firmware Update

Firmware controls the functions of your device (how your device operates). In cases where the product does not perform as intended, the update fixes the issue by replacing the current firmware with the latest enhanced version.

Please be reminded that for your player to work properly you need to meet the requirements below.

- Windows XP SP2 or higher
- Windows Media Player 10 or 11

To Download the Sansa Firmware Updater, you may copy and paste this link to the address bar of your web browser:
http://mp3support.sandisk.com/sansa/Application/SansaUpdaterInstall.exe

To Know More on Using the Sansa Firmware Updater:

If you encounter any issues with the Sansa Firmware Updater, we can try to use the Manual Firmware Update.

There are three versions of the Sansa e200 - Version 1, Version 2, and Rhapsody. This can be found by going over to "Settings" if you found "format" then you have a "v2" or look at the back of your player and check the exact model number under the "CE" logo it should say "model:e200" for Version 1; "model:e200 V2" for Version 2; and "model:e200R" for Rhapsody Version. Make sure that you choose the correct firmware version for your device as updating it using the wrong firmware version may render your device useless.

Hello! I have a chance e200 which is blocked,

HERE YOU HAVE A SOLUTION

Recovery Mode

I was having a problem with my player and after a little back and forth they showed me a back door to recover the system:

If your Player wants you to start in recovery mode

1. Activate the "HOLD" function 2. Press "Rec" and hold, while ath the same time pressing "ON/OFF" button and hold.

After some seconds of pressing there appears a screen reading: Recovery mode: Connect cable Now connect to your PC. A folder 16mbFORMAT will appear under 'My Computer'. Call SanDisk technical support for the most up to date firmware files. 1-866-SanDisk

Note: The firmware is available online via links in their forum at http://forums.sandisk.com/sansa/

There are currently 2 version of the e200s, make sure you get the proper firmware for your version.

Copy the .MI4 file from the zip to the 16mbFORMAT folder.

The one thing I don't see mentioned in thread is to format the device completely, create a new directory called "sansa.fmt" in the 16mbFORMAT folder. Then, unplug the usb cable from your computer. Powering down will not reformat.

For 01.xx.xx firmware (e200 version 1) - up to 2GB microSD cards

I formatted a sandisk sansa with a mac and it formatted everything even the os on it so how do i put it back?????

Hello,
Here's a page showing links how to reconnect the player to the MAC Operating System and how to use iTunes for the e200 series:
http://kb.sandisk.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/229/kw/mac/p/555%2C618/r_id/101834

When the firmware on the player has been erased, a download and reinstallation of the firmware has to be performed.

The Sansa Firmware Updater can only be used on Windows based systems: So get the firmware directly from this site : http://forums.sandisk.com/sansa/board?board.id=e200
Check the version of your player to get the matching download.

e.g. selecting e200 v2 there's one download for America; 2 downloads for Europe, one without FM (radio) and one with FM.
Read the instructions on the sandisk forums site for the players recovery.

I believe all you need to do is go to SanDisk's website, under Downloads, then download the Firmware Updater: http://www.sandisk.com/Retail/Default.aspx?CatID=1376
After installation of Sansa Firmware Updater
* Please make sure your Sansa player is in MSC mode before plugging it in.
* Plug in your Sansa player and it will automatically check for updates.

Sansa e200 won't connect to mac when I tried

It's just a firmware/software issue. Bring it to the Sandisk service center and have its firmware/software reinstalled.

Sansa E200

You may have uploaded the incorrect or have had unstable power connected to your Sansa E200 when updating. If that is so, your Sansa E200 has been bricked and it's useless. This is the correct Sansa E200 Firmware Updater, "http://www.sandisk.com/Retail/Default.aspx?CatID=1376" (Note: Sandisk is Sansa)
