Right beside the tv manual power button.U tries all the codes that was provided for ur tv model, than those codes does not work on ur tv.Some times all the tv codes belong to ur tv just don't work could be any reasons.Try website like Remotes.com to buy ur tv original remote, than don't care anymore about programing codes.
There is absolutely nothing next to the manual power button--just plastic, unless it reads thru the plastic there is no "eye".
Well, turn on ur tv now with the manual button see where the power LED light indication is that the eye or u see a small oval shape of plastic wright in the middle that is darker than the rest of frame of the tv plastics, that the eye.
There is no LED light that I can see, there is no "darker" plastic that I can tell either. I thought that maybe because I couldn't see an "eye" that is why the universal remotes won't work, could that be possible?
No,usually u point the remote at the tv screen and push buttoms, the tv infered light spectrum it will pick it up,pretty wide ranges,it will pit it up,if u have the wright frequencies.Just go to the website Remotes.com to buy an original remote.
Thank you for your help, maybe I just need to get a new tv! :-) Thanks.

SOURCE: remote signal not received?
If u can get to the INSIDE front, clean the window of the receiver eye.(of cause the outside also!) If the wires going to the board can be unpluged, unplug, the push it back in. Possable that the receiver eye circuit is too heated up.Put a small (square boxed computer type fan) in the back of the tv to cool it down some.If u know how to "glue" a HEATSINK to the chip to get rid of the heat, may help.
note: it is possable that BOTH regulor and universal r/c are intermittance (sometimes works, sometimes don't work)
