You might try uninstalling it and then reinstall it. Printers act crazy most of the time.

My brother printer DCP 395CN does not give option of printing odd or even pages in fast or fast normal mode. When i switch to normal printing mode it provides option. I want to print pages on both sides...

Some printers automatically print automatic duplex printing, other printers allow you to manually reinsert pages to print the second side .and some printers do not support duplex printing at all.

To find out whether your printer supports duplex printing, you can check the printer manual, contact the printer manufacturer, or check the printer's properties by clicking Properties in the Print dialog box

Note that If you have more than one printer installed, it's possible that one printer supports duplex printing and another printer does not.

My printer refuses to print. The Red Status light came on so I checked and found there was a paper jam - cleared that. Can get green light to come on if I press the job cancel button but still cannot get...

Perform a Factory Reset

Turn the printer power switch OFF on the right side of the printer. Check that the front cover is closed.

Turn the printer power switch ON while holding down the GO button until the Toner, Drum, and Paper LEDs are lit.

Release the GO button. All LEDs will be off.

Press the GO button 8 times. The Ready LED will flash briefly while the printer is reset. After the printer is reset the Ready LED will be lit.

Print a Test Print Page

Print the Print Settings by pressing the GO button three times.

- If the Print Settings pages do not print, check for alarm lights on the printer. Clear the printer error before trying to print again.

- If the Print Settings pages print, the problem is isolated to printing from your computer. Verify the printer cable connects from the back of the computer directly to the printer. If the cable has become disconnected, loose, or connects through another device, the printer may not be able to print.

Check the Printer Driver Properties

Click the General tab and Print Test Page button. The Windows test page should now print.

Is there a fix for being able to scan hpj3680

Hi Melinda,

Windows7 provides a basic set of scanning drivers, also referred to as Windows Image Aquisition (WIA) drivers, that you can use as an alternative to scan a document when you cannot scan using the HP drivers. You might choose to use these scanning drivers for one of the following reasons:
  • Your product released before Windows7 and HP has not released drivers that support scanning for your product.
  • You have not installed the available HP software that includes scanning.
  • You are troubleshooting a scanning problem and trying to identify the source of the problem.
ScanningUse one of the following three methods to scan a document. Method one: Scanning with Windows Live Photo GalleryTo scan a document using Windows Live Photo Gallery in Windows7, follow these steps:
  1. Click the Windows icon c01319360.gif , click All Programs , and then click Windows Live Photo Gallery .
  2. Click File , and then click Import From Camera or Scanner .
  3. Click the product you are using to scan, and then click Import .
  4. Make any desired setting changes, and then click Scan .
Method two: Scanning with PaintTo scan a document using Paint in Windows7, follow these steps:
  1. Click the Windows icon c01319360.gif , click All Programs , click Accessories , and then click Paint .
  2. Click the Paint button (c01886001.gif ), and then click From Camera or Scanner .
  3. Make any desired setting changes, and then click Scan .
Method three: Scanning with Windows Fax and ScanTo scan a document using Windows Fax and Scan in Windows7, follow these steps:
  1. Click the Windows icon c01319360.gif , click All Programs , and then click Windows Fax and Scan .
  2. Click New Scan .
  3. Make any desired setting changes, and then click Scan

Please reply if the problem persists.

Can not print

The printer icon wouldn't appear on the desktop but in your Printers folder. When you try to print does the printer show up in the lower right hand corner? If it does, right click on it, click on properties. You should see what you're trying to print there. Click on the top left and make sure the printer isn't Paused or that Stop isn't selected. Either of these 2 would leave your print jobs in the queue without actually printing them. Hope this helps. Please feel free to post back with any other questions.

HP C4200 Printing both sides

Some printers automatically print on both sides of a page (automatic duplex printing); other printers allow you to manually reinsert pages to print the second side (manual duplex printing); and some printers do not support duplex printing at all. To find out whether your printer supports duplex printing, you can check the printer manual, contact the printer manufacturer, or check the printer's properties by clicking Properties in the Print dialog box.
To find out whether your printer supports duplex printingThe options in the Print dialog box can vary depending on your printer options and configuration.
You can use the following clues to determine whether a specific printer supports duplex printing:
  • Check your printer manual or consult your printer manufacturer.
  • Click the tabs in the Print dialog box and review the options. If options such as print on both sides of the paper, duplex printing, or two-sided printing appear on any of the tabs, the printer probably supports automatic duplex printing.
Notes
  • If you are printing to a combination copy machine and printer, and the copy machine supports two-sided copying, it probably supports automatic duplex printing.
  • If you have more than one printer installed, it's possible that one printer supports duplex printing and another printer does not.
To manually set up a printer to print to both sides of a sheet of paperWith some printers, you can use the Manual duplex check box under Printer in the Print dialog box. Word will print all of the pages that appear on one side of the paper and then prompt you to turn the stack over and feed the pages into the printer again.
You can also use the following procedure to set up your printer for manual duplex printing:
  1. On the File menu, click Print.
  2. In the lower-left corner of the Print dialog box, in the Print box, click Odd pages.
  3. Click OK.
  4. After the odd pages are printed, flip the stack of pages over, and then in the Print dialog box, click Even pages.
  5. Click OK.
Note Depending on the printer model, you might have to turn and reorder the pages to print the other side of the stack.
