Not Reading Anything. Device Manager Trouble shooter Is Saying Error 39

Would you please check the device status in the Device Manager? Is there any yellow triangle box with an exclamation mark in it?

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.


The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.


Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

Best way to missing or wrong driver in windows is
1- Go to Device manager (from Control Panel/system)
2- locate device with driver problem
3- Update /delete option selected.
(If you delete driver then Rescan hardware)
4- Choose find driver on internet (if you not have disk)
Update the driver and reboot.

Code 28 Error Message

The Code 28 error is one of several Device Manager error codes. The Code 28 error will almost always display exactly like this:

"The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)"

Do you get a picture at all??

Look up the webcam in Device manager and see if the cam driver is installed. If so try using the trouble shooter with it.

If the driver is greyed out or not there then you need to install driver.....do it through Device manager.

It sounds like you may have to go into Control Panel / Add, remove programs and uninstall anything to do with Radeon or ATI.

Restart the computer and try reinstalling.

Lets check your drivers-

Right click on MY computer and select properties
This will take you to your system properties screen
select Hardware Tab at top
select device manager
Scan over the list and pay special attention to anything Highlighted or with an * asterix beside it (or both)
This is telling you that that driver needs to be updated
If this is the case right click on the highlighted entry and select update driver. If it ask if it can access the internet say YES.
update all drivers highlighted. REBOOT
you should have sound now.

perhaps you don't have the sound card installed. check your drivers, control panel > system > hardware > device manager. search the sound card, if you can't find him he must be in the unknown devices. if you have a drive cd use it, otherwise you'll have to gogle you sound card driver.

Can you see the drive in "My Computer", and did you look in device manager to see if it shows an error there.
