You need to uninstall your current driver and then download and install a driver for Windows 7 and your printer from the following site. Make sure you choose the appropriate version of Windows 7, 32-bit or 64-bit.
If you do not which version of Windows 7 you have installed, go to the Start Menu; click on Control Panel; click on System. Look under System type.
Sadly to say you wont be able to install it without windows 7 update. You may call HP and request the CD sent to you but i doubt they will help you. They will actually charge you for the cd. Thats one of the reasons i dont buy HP. Go with Brothers all-in-one printer. They sell it for 79.99 at bestbuy
1. Go to: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&product=390315&lang=en& 2. Click "Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)" or "Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)" to select the operating system that matches your operating system. 3. Download the printer's driver.
You will need to go to the HP support site, http://welcome.hp.com/country/us/en/support.html Find your specific printer, and download the driver for Vista. Should not be a problem after that.
