The question was about the 301, not the 200. And no, it does not need a driver. Depending on your whether your ISP uses single or multi-channel, the DS indicator may not be lit. The W/DS indicator will be lit but both will not be lit together. Don't worry, your modem is working fine. ;)
You will have to contact your ISP to give them the MAC hardware address of this cable modem. I would check with them to see if they support this model cable modem. If they support it then you can have them provision the MAC address on their system.
its totally because of your service provider. If the problem persist contact the service provider and change the modem. there is nothing you can do here.. Rate this!!
