Sounds like it is not getting enough water. Try adding water to it to see if the sound goes away. Start the unit at the begining of a cycle, open the door after it has started to circulate and see where the water is at. If it is low then you have a problem with the amount of water coming in, possibly the waterproof (valve) is going. If the level is good and it happens later in the cycle, it could be a drain issue. You may have to get in a tech.

I have a Whirlpool Quiet Partner 3 dishwasher making a buzzing noise on start up. It sounds as if it is coming from the door. The unit works and I have cleaned out the filter and around the pump.

When the dishwasher starts to make funny noises or working loudly, it is usually because there are debris caught in the draining pump, although a problem with the motor is also possible.

Drain Pump: The drain pump might needs to be checked for debris. If its clean and noisy it needs to be replaced.

Circulation Pump: Bearings inside the circulation pump will wear out over time and can cause a loud groaning sound while the dishwasher operates.

Wash Impeller: The wash impeller has small plastic blades that help with water flow to the control arms. If one of the blades breaks there could be a noise. It may also be improperly aligned. Inspect for any signs of damage.

My dish washer is not draining

Is the Intake/Drain light in the front dislay is flashing? if so, the drain hose might be clogged most probably. Most of the times accumulation occurs where the drain hose connects to the drain pipe under the kitchen sink. This can be easly cleaned by disconnecting the hose and removing any food waste from the pipe and hose. The other cause could be the check valve near the drain pump contaminated. The check valve is located near the bottom filter. This check valve is secured with a wire bracket and can be easly removed upon slidding the wire bracket. Rinse the valve and make sure the ball inside moves freely. Also verify and clean the ports where the check valve connects.

Good luck!

Red intake light comes on and dishwasher will not drain, model g 843 scvi

The manual is available here: http://www.miele.ca/miele/canada/OperatingInstructions/manuals.asp?ParFolder=Dishwashers&SubFolder=Previous%20models . Scroll down through the list to the G643 G843 Incognito. The maintenance items listed below are detailed on page 44 and beyond of the manual.

The Intake light is also the Drain error light. If the light is flashing, then turn off the dishwasher and clean the triple filter, the drain pump and the non return valve and make sure that there are no kinks in the drain hose.

Make sure the water is ccoming in at a pressure above 4.5 psi. Also make sure that the water valve is open and clean the water intake filter.

The final possibility is that the Waterproof system has tripped and you need a Miele technician to service the unit.

I hope this helps.

My electrolux frontload washer seems to be stuck on the "drain" cycle. It is making a loud buzzing noise and will not drain or perform any function.

Hi

Loud buzzing sound is coming from drain pump. It is due to a clogged drain pump or a drain filter or a kinked drain hose. To resolve the issue you'll need to clean the drain hose, inspect if the drain hose is plugged. If the hose is fine, then remove the front kick panel and access the drain pump and filter, if you are unable to find the pump and filter remove the back panel as well and trace the drain hose to the bottom of the tub. There is a drain filter connected with the drain pump. It usually gets clogged, and needs to be cleaned every 6-8 months or so. The drain filter is a small white filter connected to drain pump with a hose. If it still doesn't work then you'll need to check the connections of the drain pump, check the electrical connections with a multimeter.

Hope this helps... Please post back if you need more information.

Oil light/noise/oil level good

you could have sludge in the crankcase that is blocking the intake screen for the oil pump ... that happens a lot if oil isnt changed regularly .. in some cars it happens even if you do. ...the clatter you hear is the valve lifters collapsing . they need oil pressure to keep them extended properly ... if your oil pump isnt bad it soon will be .. it needs lub also or it will quickly be damaged ...sometimes you can wash out the sludge with kero/oil mix but the safe thing to do is drop the pan .. clean up the sludge and replace the oil pump.while you are there ...once you have the pump working you can first run cheap oil to clean out things ..then drain and install synthetic ...that will do a better job of cleaning out remaining sludge ... of course make sure you have the proper amount of oil to start with .. make sure there is no water in the oil (milky oil) .. make sure oil filter is not clogged ...some oil filters have a one way valve ... that can stick if the car isnt run for a long time .. ....

I love my Sharp CV-10MH Portable Air Conditioner but I'm afraid to use it. After a while it starts to make a noise I'd describe as a CLATTER or a RATTLE. Before I use it again I must know that this is not...

I had the same issue of filling up after a couple hours but mine started making some pretty loud noises as well just before shutting itself down and lighting all three lights. The top drain valve would no longer work and the only way I could drain it was through the bottom (gravity) drain valve. I took the unit apart and found that the simple water pump that is used for draining and the evaporating process had lost the thin filter screen on the bottom and the screen became lodged in the impeller of the pump preventing it from spinning. I removed the worn and broken plastic screen, carefully pushed the impeller back up on the shaft until it bottomed out, and cleaned all the built up sediment off the entire pump. After reassembling everything, the ac unit runs like new again and the noise is completely gone. Cost? $0
I imagine you can just order a new pump from sharp and save the time and effort of cleaning the pump.
Hope this helps!

Loud grinding noise when washer is draining

something in the impeller housing. not usually serviceable. not sure if that unit has two pumps. you could look underneath the tub and try to determine that, and where the noise is coming from.
i am confident the issue relates to a pump unit.
good luck
