I cannot set the time on a Panasonic NN-GD566M microwave oven

Sounds like the dial control on the timer board is bad, the only way to repair it is to replace the whole time board. Try a place called encompass parts. they are a distributor for Panasonic.

Thorn amplifier model 4044 volume control VR201 faulty.

put a few drops of "switch cleaning oil" inside the volume control by opening the cover & rotate the control a few times. you can use it on switches as well. you will see the control is working again. if that does not work, u need to replace the control pot.

Getting a high pitched whining sound that increases and decreases with accelleration and decelleration

it is your idler pulley. get it from dealer comes with bracket, just use pulley off bracket. take your belt off and your idler pulley is lower right hand side(facing your engine). 15mm bolt, replace pulley and reinstall your belt. it;s a common problem on trailblazers

Braking not working right

Well, does the platter spin at a constant speed (33 or 45 rpm), or does it spin super fast? If it spins at a constant speed, and it just wont stop, replacing that pot should do the trick (VR201 can be purchased HERE). You can attempt to replace it yourself (soldering skills are required), or just buy the part, and have a service tech replace it for you.

If it does not solve the problem, then the issue is with one of the IC's (integrated circuits). This is a more complex diagnosis and repair. But try replacing VR201 first, then taking it from there.

Good luck!

Alinco dj-v5 HT deviation adjust

To adjust the deviation of this radio, you don't have to take it apart. If you take the battery pack off, there is a sticker on the back of the radio saying Alinco. Pull that sticker off and underneath are the variable resistors. See the service manual for more details on how to make other adjustments.

First, make sure you note the present position of this pot so you can turn it back if you have to.

If you don't have any equipment to measure deviation, make a contact on the repeater and try turning the pot in small increments and ask the person to help you set the deviation so your voice sounds good through the repeater.

Once set, if the repeater has a touch tone test, go through and make sure all your tones are being properly decoded.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance to you.

Good luck!

Technics problems

There is no drive belt on this unit. This is a direct drive turntable. Your pitch control might be on it's way out. Are you getting any sort of unusual speed issues? Or is it just sort of running slower than usual? There is a pot you can adjust under the turntable platter to speed it up a bit, however, this is only a temporary fix. It is listed as VR301 - and is on the main board under the turntable platter - it says PITCH on it. Try adjusting that pot, to see if it does anything. WORD OF CAUTION: Make sure your turntable platter is ALWAYS on whenever you power up your turntable, and if you do any electrical modifications, make sure you always disconnect your turntable from it's power source to be on the safe side. If this does not work, then either your pitch control (which is a variable resistor) will need to be replaced. The problem could also be one of the drive components on the main board, however, this will need to be worked on by a service tech. Hope this helps. - Justin
