The turntable lights are flickering?

then probably your on/off switch has died and these are easy to get and easy to remove, but then your platter can't walk good neither and does your on/off switch feels the same then before? The other possibility is the piece off plastic which pushes to what you called clicker can also be broken or worn. Both are real easy to replace and costs nothing so iwould order them and replace them both and a how to you can see on your manual, but on youtube you can find enough, it's an 5 minute job. Opening the unit costs most time, but they are that inexpensive, that replacing both at ones is the best solution and order the bearing with it, Two dollars orso. But first watch two video's, then you see how easy it it is. greetings richard

My mk5's lights blink when I press the start button?

May i ask which lights you mean, also the pitch? And does after that everything works fine?... then i don't see a problem to be honest. But i'll check my mk5(refurbished really everything only i'm busy with the tone arm wire rewiring, so i can't move it.But now is the time to replace your capacitors for better then standard ones, if you see how old they are and replacing the potentiometres and main wires etc. almost 15 years old. The so calles refurbushing by the often one person stores is a waste of monet, just do it yourself. Greetings richard and i'll come back on the subject, when the table is ready.

Blown Fuse

The fuses for this model are located underneath the turntable platter. You can replace this yourself, however, please be sure to disconnect the unit from it's power source before proceeding. You will have to remove the metal turntable platter, exposing a black protective cover. Remove the cover, and you'll see the main PC Board. There are 2 fuses on the lower left side. Pull the fuses and take them to your local electronics store, or order online @ www.1200s.com. IF your unit does NOT have any fuses, then your transformer is damaged, and will need to be replaced by a qualified technician. Also, the fuses are only meant to circumvent small changes in electrical current. Many times, these voltage surges, will fry the fuses and the transformer. So if after you replace the fuses, it still doesn't power up, you will need to also have the transformer replaced. Good Luck!

Hi, there is a hissing sound coming from my

I've used an 'RF isolator' or 'ground loop isolator' to remove hiss
Its essentially a $20 1:1 transformer (ie no transforming) with RCA ins and outs.
I got mine from Radio Shack (now called the source i guess).

Takes out all kinds of hums and hisses.

I hope that helps.

Check all cables. They do accumulate dirt/resistance after time. Try spinning RCA connector (round connectors) at receiver/amp. Also check all wiring that leads to speaker that is not working. Does it work on other inputs? Radio, CD etc... if not check that balance hasn't been bumped or adjusted (I know... but I have to ask)

Turntable stopped working with Torq DJ Software

It could be either or none of them! It could be the fuse, but if there's any power present you could eliminate power switch, fuse, transformer or power supply. If no indication all of them are suspects.

More than likely the RCA cables need to be replaced. Torque, Serato, and all digital dj programs require a clear signal path coming from the source (turntable, cdj, etc). If it does not have a clear signal, or 1 side is louder than the other, it will not work.

You have to remember, these are analog turntables connecting to a digital system. The signal quality is different, and your RCA cables have to be prestine.

The following cables work very well for this type of configuration:

MOGAMI RCA CABLES

Technics SL-1200MK5 voltage or fuse problem

To change it from the 110 to 220 the switch is under the turntable platter. Put your fingers in the 2 holes under the slip matts and pull up evenly. It may be a little hard but it will come off. As for the fuse...its inside the deck. Unscrew the feet and all the screws. the black rubber part will come off. Good luck!

I recently purchased a used Technics 1200-MK2

sound like the pitch has been tampered with.
Right you felling confer dent if so get your self a Philips screwdriver switch the deck off & unplug it under the slip mat there are two big holes put your fingers in them then twist & pull the platter off its always a mission because of the magnetic brakes.
when you've got it off undo the 5 screws that hold the plastic cover on, then you'll see a circuit board on the top right hand side which has 2 pot one named BRAKE the other PITCH adjust the PITCH anticlockwise until it's slot is pointing up straight put it all back together but dont put the screws back in just yet.
test it first if it's still not right repeat this proses untill you nail it.
GOOD LUCK if you get stuk e-mail me [email protected]
