I own KitchenAid RRKP50 350 Watts since late 2004. and it stopped working last night. I searched internet and found that the worm gear is might be the issue. So I opened it and noticed that the tooth on the gear is broken.
But in KitchenAid's website, there's no part list PDF file for KitchenAid RRKP50 350 Watts.
So I do not know the replacement worm gear part number that I should by for KitchenAid RRKP50 350 Watts.
Any pointer to the right document is much appreciated!

I belieive i"ve found what you need at -the gourmet depot.net-click on worm gears on the list on left side of page,parts with pictures and listings will come up.I think you will want the kp50 series 5 parts

Check everything you have done for a mistake, the pin through the planetary, the pin through the fuse gear and the pin in the main shaft that drives the bevel gear. That's the gear that pinion gear on the fuse gear shaft mates with. After that you are left with a fuse gear fault. I am assuming that the motor is turning at normal speeds and not somehow binding up, no reason why it should as motor stays in one piece during gear changing procedure.
It is not a good idea to modify anything in the unit to make part(s)
designed for another model fit. The KT and KP models have different
part numbers for the motor. I still don't understand why do you have to
change motor in the first place, just because the Worm Gear Follower
has to be replaced. Something is telling me, you have just purchased
the wrong part (Follower). The KT2651x is similar to the KP26xxx
latest models and the Worm Gear does not come with the Follower.
(i.e. they are 2 different distinct parts)
Get a Copy of the Repair Part List of your model from Kitchenaid.com.
Most likely it is the Worm Gear (17) grinding at low speed the Worm Gear Follower.(19)
You don't have to replace it now, but it is best to open the Transmission Housing and
inspect all the gears conditions. Clear all the grease to expose them. The Bevel
Gear (21) sits right on top of the Worm Gear Follower. (See Repair Part List)
If its teeth look sharp and all metal shiny, then that is the source of your noises.
Eventually, all the teeth will be chewed away and the planetary assembly will stop turning.
Here is the exploded parts list fr a K45, perhaps it will help you replace the stripped gear inside the gear housing. It is probably the gear which is driven by the motor shaft.:

Hi Gail. Kitchenaid no longer has a Parts List for your model. This means that they consider it obsolete. Do an Internet search for parts. You may get lucky. Good luck!
