I have a jvc smart TV model number: lt 55n745qa, I have unfortunately lost the remote and can't seem to find the remote model that works on the TV. If anyone has this TV pls give the model number on the...

Universal remotes have severe limitations and aren't suitable to replace a lost or broken original remote.

If a genuine replacement cannot be found, try searching for a compatible remote. These provide most of the functions of the original including menu access. I think I bought mine from Amazon or ebay and it cost little more than a good universal.

Remote Broken

brantex,
If you're looking to make the universal work with the Insignia Tv you need to research the remote (model/brand) to the Tv. You can do this at: http://www.remotecodelist.com/remotes/
It would be my strong suggestion however that you purchase the original because no universal remote will allow you access to the service menus and all the features.. You can buy the original for about $32.00 plus shipping at : http://remotes.com/?OVRAW=Replacement%20Remote%20Control&OVKEY=replacement%20remote%20control&OVMTC=standard&OVADID=4084295511&OVKWID=10268551011

Hope this helps!
