You have an Apple iPod and would like to watch your favorite home
video using it? But you do not know how to convert your files into iPod
compatible format?
AVS Video Converter
is just the program you need to solve this problem now. This simple yet
powerful video converter utility enables you to transfer your home
video library to iPod (MP4/h.264) format with a few mouse clicks.
What you need:
All you need to transfer your home video and video files to your iPod is:
1. AVS Video Converter
2. iPod capable of video playback with a computer compatible cable
Now
AVS Video Converter uses AVS Mobile Uploader included in the AVS Video
Converter installation package to upload the files to your iPod.
Step 1: Download and install AVS Video Converter
Step 2: Run AVS Video Converter and select your input video file
To select a video you would like to convert hit the
Browse... button next to the
Input File Name field. In the opened Windows Explorer window browse for the necessary video file:
Note:
when your input is a DVD disc, you will need to select the path to your
source file: X:\Video_TS\Video_TS.IFO. "X" stands for your DVD-ROM or
the hard disk drive folder where your DVD is stored.
Step 3: Set up the conversion parameters
After
you have selected the video input file, press To MP4 button on the main
panel. In the list of Profiles (MP4 Profile Field) select one of the
offered iPod profiles. You can also click Edit Profile button to
manually set the iPod profile parameters.
For novice users it is recommended to select one of the default iPod profiles:
- Apple iPod - (H.264, 320*240)
- Apple iPod - (H.264, 640*480)
- Apple iPod - (MPEG4, 320*240)
You can also click Edit Profile button to manually set the iPod profile parameters.
Step 4: Set up a proper video output file path
Click the
Browse... button next to the
Output File Name field and select a location on your HDD for the output video file.
Note: when you select a location for your output video file, you should save the file to your personal computer HDD.
Step 5: Convert your video files
After you have set up all the conversion parameters, hit the
Convert Now! button to start converting.
You can visually judge the conversion process if you hit the
Advanced>> button.
When the process is over the following window will be opened. Click the
Upload... button to launch AVS Mobile Uploader.
Step 6: Transfer the converted video file to Apple iPod
Connect your iPod to your computer with the help of a cable. Turn on the iPod.
The
AVS Mobile Uploader application will be launched to guide you through
the upload process so that you could send your converted video file to
your Apple iPod with no difficulty.
If the Apple iPod
is not displayed in the AVS Mobile Uploader window you should press the
Find Devices button to search for your iPod:
When you click the Upload>> button the upload process itself will
take place. It will take some time depending on the output video file
size.
Now you can enjoy your favorite home video DVD and video files on your iPod!

I have limewire, and the very new ipod nano 4kb, now when i download the videos on limewire and go to itunes its all god but when i put it in my playlist and sync it when i llook at my ipod there is no video
i have the same deadlock problem... no solutions to this?
Hi All
I've got an answer from Jensen technical support. And the answers
is: You cant watch a video from new 5th generation iPod (which I
have).
The problem is in Apple’s policy. They have encoded the new 5th
generation iPod to do not send the video signal to dock connector made by some
other but Apple. Apple has some chip integrated into their iPod video cable so
the iPod starts to send the video signal, otherwise it says “Please connect
video device”.
The only way to get the video from iPod to VM9512 is to use Apple’s
iPod video cable and connect it to some AUX jack on VM9512 (I have connected it
to AUX1 on VM9512).

Hi Sepa,
Can you tell me what type of connector you are using. Is it:
a 3.5mm jack to 3xPhono
or is it the usb connector at the base of the ipod to 3xphono.
Also, do you know if it is Component or Composite?
Many thanks
Sean
