You need to know the Voicemail access code... I generally set this up as 77, but other installers will set it with a different number. This will be the same number that others in your office dials to reach Voicemail when they have a message.

Your mailbox will also need to be created in the Voicemail system. When you call into it, it should recognize you and prompt you for a passcode. The Mitel Embedded Voicemail system default passcode is 1111. You will be prompted to set up the mailbox and change the passcode.

If this doesn't help, contact your site administrator or vendor.

We have a Mitel Superset 4025 corded phone. We have moved offices and cannot locate the manual. We are trying to change the outgoing message on the mainline and need to know what steps to take to do so.

The recording would be in your auto attendant system which would be with the phone system and not a single phone. More detail is needed to answer your question. A call to your phone vendor would be in order to gain access to the recordings. The vendor should have helped if a system move was also involved in the office move.

My message indicator light does not blink when I have a voicemail on my Mitel SuperSet 4025. What do I do to make it blink when I have a mesage?

This is a feature code set by the voicemail system. If the code isn't set properly in the voicemail server, then the lamp won't light. Here's a few troubleshooting steps for you to follow...

Are others having the trouble? If so, then it's a system wide problem and you should contact your vendor to have it looked at.
If it is isolated to your phone... swap phones with another user with a 4025.... leave a message in your mailbox... did it light the lamp? If so, leave a message for the other user and see if it lights the lamp on your phone at their desk... did it light the lamp? If NOT, then you've got a bad phone and you should contact your vendor to have the set replaced/repaired.

sincerely,
Mark

Too many rings on 4025 Superset

You will need the Mitel system programmer to change the Class Of Service of your set, this will change the number of rings before it goes to Voicemail.

Unfortunately, unless you know how to get into the system or have an administrator onsite that has rights to the Mitel system, a Mitel Specialist will be required to make this change.

Checking Voicemail Remotely.

You will need to call in to the Voice Mail hub extension directly, then press * to identify yourself as a user (on some systems you may need to press # or press * twice). The system will ask for your extension and password and you will be granted access. Your system administrator can inform you of which extension is the VM hub on your system.
This is what Christ at Mitel told me. I'm still trying to find out our hub extension number.

Is the Call Forward No Answer turned on? Is the voicemail working on other phones, just not this one? If you can verify this I can probably help you.

Voicemail help

You need the old password or have your vendor reset your mailbox so you can set up your message and pasword. No other way around it, sorry. Good Luck

Message Display

Your voice mail is probably set to send notification for the first message only. No matter how many are in there, it will only tell you once. You may be able to change the notification type, depending on your voice mail.

Model 4025

In the days before voicemail, Mitel had a "Call Me Back" feature that would light the MWI. We now use the MWI for voicemail, but the capability is still there. You can solve it several ways.

1. Go to the blinking phone and press the Messages button. One of those should be "Call me back". Press it and when the other party picks up, the MWI should turn off.

-or-

2. Look up the FAC for Message Waiting - Deactivate in your phone switch. On my switch it is *91.
