This indicates the keypad or ERC electronic range control has failed.

1. Check keypad connector for firm connection (keypad connects to control board).
2. Press CANCEL. If error code returns after 60 seconds, replace keypad (also called touch pad or membrane switch). Some models incorporate keypad in to control board as one unit. In this case, replace control board (also called ERC or clock).

you don't need a "professional" to solve this problem or even to order any parts. E1 -F2- = the keytail (connector ribbon) that plugs into the control board is not making good contact. first unplug your range and then remove the two screws on the underside of the back-splash controls panel to access the back of the control board. now simply cut a slip of heavy paper such as a business card to the width of the ribbon and slide it into the slot along with the ribbon connector. that will help press the contacts on the other side together snuggly. screw the back-splash back in place, plug in your range, and the problem will vanish. if the error ever returns, try pulling out the connector, cleaning the contacts with a pencil eraser (see -http://www.fixyourboard.com/techzone/ove... - for illustration), reinserting it into the slot and repeat above with the paper. good luck.

My oven pad show out F2:E1

For Whirlpool (and associated brands), the F2 E1 error indicates a communication problem between the touch pad and the electronic control board. The oven's control thinks that the touch pad wiring is unplugged. This could be due to damaged wires, a loose wiring harness or a problem with the touch pad. First check that the wires aren't loose. Press Cancel to see if the signal is sent to the control board and clears the error. Wait 60 seconds for a response.

If the error persists, you need to replace the touch pad. On some models, you'll have to replace the touch pad and control board since they are sold as a single unit. For the units where the touch pad is a separate unit, you may still need to replace the control board. If the F2 E1 error persists after replacing the touch pad, then the control board is also faulty.

If you post a comment with the oven's make and model number, I may be able to give you the appropriate replacement part numbers. If your oven is still under warranty, contact the manufacturer for the repairs.

I hope this helps.

I replaced circuit board in whirlpool combo microwave / oven, shows fault code F2, error code E1.

Did you get the circuit board from a trustworthy place?
It is a circuit board error. Did you install it correctly - right wires to right connections?
Control displaying F2 E1:
There may be a problem with the User Interface (Touchpad), or the associated wire connectors.
Power unit down by turning off the circuit breaker(s) for one (1) minute.
Power unit up by turning on the circuit breaker(s).
Monitor the oven for one (1) minute to ensure the error code does not display again.
Verify oven operation
