Hi,
I have a 42 inch SHARP LCD TV. It can be used wıth both 110v and 220 v. My cable is for 110 v with 7A 125 V. TV is 235 W. I think, I can not use it in Turkey (220V). I can attach a european plug converter to the electic end. But I want to know if my cable (Longwell LS-7CWA 7A 125 V) works with 220v in Turkey. Do I need to find another power cable for use with 220V (TV is 235 Watts). If so, where can I find it. Dont worry about the color system and the tuner. I wıll connect a PAL tuner with VGA output. My problem is with the power cable.
Thanks
Zafer
It is not the power cord that makes the rating of the power supply. You can use a transformer, and not a solid state converter to lower the 220 V to 120 V.
What you will find if this is a North American TV set, it may not work in other countries due to the standards for TV broadcast.
If the set is rated for PAL, this will only work with the video inputs, and not the tuner. The tuner frequency allocation and the video and audio carriers are also different between the some of the different countries.
