Before installing replacement parts??? I can assume that the t-con board or the video board had terminal connectors or ribbon connectors. What is often overlooked is a misaligned connector or worse, a broken or bent pin. Try examining these connection points. You may have to use a magnifying glass. A defective screen usually goes black or produces broken images and/or color points. I hope this helps.

Hi, You may need a digital tuner to watch regular TV shows. (set top box) Your TV tuner may need also to be adjusted or repaired. Have a TV tech have a look at it. Good luck.

You may have turned the tv's speakers off. check your menu to see if thats the case.

Hi Dwayne, The Proton has an NTSC analog tuner and also an ATSC digital tuner. Have you tried switching or changing the SOURCE inputs? You may also have to use the scan button to have the tuner "find" the channels for you once you determine that you have selected the correct source for the antenna. Hello, I have one of these tvs and it works great. My problem is that my screen is cracked and cannot find a replacement. Do you want to do a swap, either for your screen or you can purchase my working tv, and replace with your screen? Just a thought. LRoller

not sure if this is the fix or not ...but i was tryin to fix a problem with my tv(not the same as yours)...but in the menu under adanced you can split the screen ....when i do that it puts a blue line down the middle of the screen
