I have a Mitsubishi Medallion 62' 1080 Model WS 65611. My power went out, the timer button is blinking and the TV wont turn on.

Just from what you've described it could be any number of things. One of the more common problems is the convergence Ic8c00 Stk393-110 Mits. Part # 267p155010 and the fuse 9a04... On a scale of 1 to 10 and 10 being the most difficult the task is about an 8 to replace and trace test the convergence circuit. You can however check and see if 9a04 is open, and if so, then you know where the problem is and can be more informed when asking a shop about what they charge to repair this problem. Take a VU or DMM meter set on continuity and loacte 9a04. That location number will be printed on the board right next to the component you're looking for... Next test it for continuity. If you get no reading it's open and the convergence amp is the culprit. Hope this helps. Bill

hold down the menu + device for five sec what is the error code?
should be like 1 pause then a 2 or something

Would you like to bypass, defeat or reset your Mitsubishi 65611 HDTV Parental V-Chip parental lock? Have you forgotten your V-Chip passcode or password?

If you forget your V-Chip passcode, you can view the locked TV without entering your password.

When your passcode is requested, press the number 9 and the QV button on the original TV remote control at the same time. This process temporarily unlocks your TV.

When you enter the V-Chip Lock menu, pressing the number 9 and the QV button on the original TV remote control at the same time will delete your old password and prompt you to enter a new passcode. Pressing HOME at this time will cancel the entire passcode.

65" mitsubishi rear projection tv won't turn
IF model number posted is correct and green power light comes on for a few seconds and then goes off:
On front of set press and hold both the Menu and Input (device) buttons at the same time for at least five seconds and release both buttons.

Power light will then blink a two digit error code like 2 blinks, 2 blinks, a pause and repeat it several times.

Let me know what error code is found and I will tell you what it means.

The green "timer" light next to the power button keeps blinking and the Tv won't turn on even after reset. This happened after power failure. Any suggestions?
replace bulb, clean cooling fans of dust. If not some power supplies have bad capacitor issues that may need to be replaced.

My tv turns on the shuts off on its own
This unit will not indicate any problem without you doing something to initiate the LED diagnostic feature. Go to the front of the set and hit the power button, when that doesn't work hold the MENU and INPUT buttons on the set at the same time for 10 seconds. The power LED should start blinking a two sequence code that will repeat six times. The number of blinks will tell the general area of the problem. As an example a 2 - 2 sequence is a convergence output problem over 95% of the time.

Cant connect VGA form laptop to TV.
Sounds like you may be trying to use a resolution or scan rate the TV does not support. Many of these televisions do not support 720p, but DO support 1080i.
