Drivers for the Toshiba Satellite Pro M15-S405

Hi I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro M15-S405 notebook and I just reinstalled windows xp and I need to install all of the drivers for it, but the website for Toshiba just lists all of the drivers for the entire satellite product line. Does anyone know what drivers are specific to the Toshiba Satellite Pro M15-S405?.

Satellite Pro M15-S405 - BIOS needed.

You can download BIOS updates and any/all the Windows XP
device drivers for your model laptop from the Toshiba WEB site from their download page. Make sure you enter the model of your laptop so you
can get the correct drivers. Use this link: -

There are no any sounds

First thing make sure you check the manual volume control just on the inboard side of the shell. It's sort of buried below the surface of the shell.
Drivers should be pretty well the same for xp home or pro I think.

I believe this driver should work. It's for a Packard Bell laptop, but it has the same sound card.

Toshiba satellite pro m15 s405 video card replacement

Probably impossible. Most laptop graphics chips are soldered directly to the motherboard requiring a new motherboard if one dies, and very few are actual "cards." That being said, it looks like your's is a nVIDIA GeForce4 420 Go which might be a card. I'll do some research and find out.

Recovery Problem

Check you are really using the right CDs
Using another computer with a CD Writer and a blank CD, download this file:

toshdmi10.exe

Run the program, it will explain how to make a boot CD which you will use to start your computer and fix the problem that makes it say Wrong Machine.
Once this is done you can use the recovery cd's again.
