I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure.
Sorry you are having a problem, I would suggest that you take it to an Electrolux dealer or try you local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area, all it may need is a slight adjustment to the back of the dustbuster or the part that releases the Electrolux dustbuster, it may be to tight and would need and adjustment or replacement in order for the item to release properly. So If you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.

There is a filter inside the main filter. Once that filter gets clogged it will loose suction. Pull the filter and clean it, you can wash it by hand. Turn the unit roller side up and check for a small screw cover that you can use a dime to loosen. This cover is used to remove the roller unit. Once out check and clean then check the gear assy. for miss-alignment.

I've been very happy with my Pronto 2 in 1 until recently, when it doesn't seem to "****" very well. I've cleaned the filters, etc, and the motor sounds fine. Any suggestions?

Did you check the smaller filter inside the main filter? The main filter comes apart to reveal a smaller filter inside the main filter. This needs cleaning also. If you have found and cleaned that one also. Check the Hose at the bottom for restriction. Thats about it.

for this problem I would get in touch with electolux directly and they will tell you which and they will also have access to a new one if you need it..There are electrolux authorized dealers all over Canada and the USA so depending on where you are just pick up the phone book and goto the yellow pages under vacuums and that will give you the info that you need.
